I think that because the younger generation has not lived through it themselvs they should not be saying such terrible things because they have lot lived through it. We for get things far to easly.
Yeah. We all do stupid things at times, but we make amends and get on with our lives. Although Paulini does bring up a good point that we weren't around at the time so we don't know the full extent of how horrible the war was. Although, I still don't think it gives the younger group to start sitting out hate when they themselves have never been around it.
Well, then great! My smart-assedness is finally appreciated XD. I am not that smart. I just know a few things here and there just like many other people. We are all smart in our own way.
Thanks for you mini rant there mate; I enjoyed anouther intellegent take on all of this.
It is like saying that Germans are all terrible people who hate jews. Most people in Germay who where involved in the holocaust were aganst it; they had nothing aganst Jews, or the non-aranyan's altogeather. I guess after years and years of properganda everything gets askewed in terms of what really happened and what didn't.
People who didn't loe through the terribleness I guess don't and won't understand. Pity.
I think they like forgetting such terrible things their own country does. How many canadains can say they knew that canada was a extremly racist country prior to 1980? Because we really where.
Ps. Don't worry; it was a wonderful education trip to the land of Weabooing. I enjoyed the smart-ass remarks oh so much! xD
Donny explains it better than I can. Its basicly where one cares and loves Japan because of the anime and manga and thats it. They want to 'help japan' because of their manga; not the peoples.
But again, Donny is waaaay smarter than I,
so really you should ask him XD
First of all matt, I really want to thank you for taking your time to write this post. I totally agree with this issue. It's actually not only about the death toll, but the fact that most people are having a "You-hit-me, I'll-hit-you back" way of thinking, which to me is similar to the mentality of a young child.
When the tsunami hit on that day, everyone on Facebook was practically saying the same thing (Btw most of my Facebook friends are Asians). "That's what you get in return, Japan!" (Whatever they said wasn't as bad as the ones in the pic though). But the thing is, during WWII, was every Japanese person involved in the war? No. It was the emperor and the military at his command who carried out such deeds. Their people, of course, couldn't do anything as they had no power.
So, who are we to say that the tsunami was 'retribution' for the Japanese? Yes, they are Japanese, but aren't they human as well, and living on this earth? Why should we scorn them or refuse to help them when they are in such a dire situation? Doesn't that make us as equally bad as the Japanese?
And why are the Americans talking about Pearl Harbour when they have done enough damage to the Middle East? (Don't get me wrong, I ain't got no hate for the US.)
I did not endure WWII and those harsh events, so I probably don't get the "full impact" of what the Japanese had done, other than info from history lessons, but I still stick to the phrase, "what's done is done." Whatever we are doing now is in the present and for the future. We won't get any benefit from bringing up Pearl Harbour and etc etc as reasons for not helping or supporting the Japanese.
Pray for Japan, everyone!
-Paulini

Bravo *claps*.....nice research u did there!!
..
it really amazes me that people can be so ignorant...but then again the fact that there are more ppl who care and less who dont calms me down!!
We have to many Hitler's now a days. Everyone has the mind set that others are evil, and the US is the only good country. I find this stupid because we've done some pretty idiotic things in the past too. That's why I'm glad I actually have an education. :D
P.S. I think i sound like a smartass in the bottom comment. XD

Well in terms of the word "weaboo" it really means just someone who is COMPLETELY obsessed over anime/manga and anything Japan. Like, they believe everything else and everyone else sucks except for Japan (which they know nothing about except for the fact that they make anime/manga and other 'unmentionables') and over using Japanese words without really knowing the Japanese language (I mean A LOT). Cosplay is also in this but pretty much generalizes to just people wearing horribly made costumes like putting on cardboard boxes and saying your a Transformer. If anything, it's an extreme kind of stereotype that people use to be hurtful to those who even mildly like the anime/manga or cosplay. When I say this stuff, I mean in the most EXTREME way. Not just the occasional usage which I find fine especially on this site :D. It may be extremely hurtful, but those are just people like the tards on these tsnumai/earhquake thing. Their just spitting out words for no reason and really just do it because they have nothing better to do.
Ohooo, it could also be the fact that we're "praying for Japan", not "Japan's people". Because we weren't praying for the people before, oh no! We were praying for the trees and the rocks there, as well! *shakes head*
*laughs* I'm not sure what a Weaboo is either; but I think it has something to do with the fact that people freak out about Japan not for the thousands dead or missing but for the fact that it impacts their anime and manga intake. Or something like that.
And their inability to make an argument in an even slightly intellectual way! (I'm not even sure what a weaboo is, but I've been called that for supporting Japan before 0______e;)

I can only imagine the horror that will befall cuch narror-minded insolent people. *sigh* I guess when you don't understand something; you turn into a silly hater....
Look, I find everything these people say is bullshit. But you just can't change the minds of these retarded people. They are gonna think like that no matter what and their ignorance won't go unnoticed. What I don't get is why people say Japan is bad for Pearl Harbor? Sure, it happened and Japan struck with a mighty blow, but that was AGES ago. Even so, if there was any payback involved it would have been the bombs we dropped, which was a MASSIVE mistake on our part. Both of us did something stupid, and you know what, we made amends for it and became good friends with Japan. So really in the end, there should be no other "pay back" to be given on either side. What happened to Japan was a freak of nature and they've always had problems in the past with earthquakes and such. So why people are hating, it baffles me to no end. It's just a bunch of uneducated rejects spitting out words without thinking. In the end, their opinion doesn't matter unless it's logical. Just think of all the pay back they are gonna be getting for being ignorant. >:D
*laughs* I'm sure if any of them read this they would start swearing at me and tell me I was a Jappo or something. Haters amuse me with not only their predictablity and their inability to be anything close to origanal.
Perphaps we as westerners(well rather me since I don't know where you live) are so closed minded because we all hold resentment because we were once conquered by these 'mother' and 'father' countries??
I'm glad that you didn't thiink I came off as offensive. I tend to do that sometimes. Its difficult because no one ever tells me when I sound offensive or not. *laughs* Glad I didn't here though.
I'm not even sure what posses people to speak that way. You'd think they'd get over the paranoia from their parnets generation. (no offence to that generation)
