True. Although personally I'm not a big UC Gundam fan, and I have watched a few things from that timeline. Let's just hope this won't turn out like SEED, which was essentially a (very poor) re-imagining of the original Gundam story.
Well look at it this way. If this new anime gets offically licensed for North American distribution, at least it should increase otaku interest in Universal Century Gundam anime, especially when it seems like what started "Gundam" is not getting much love and attention from today's North American Otaku community, whos appear to more favor "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing", "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny", and "Mobile Suit Gundam 00". The four titles just mentioned are the "Gundam" anime with mainstream status in North America.
