As far as I can see, I liked it. :) The characters sure have deep personalities and you make them develop on equal terms.
Of course since this is only a preview, I am sure that it will be better latter when you add like an intro chapter, because it will make the readers to follow it easier.^^

Ah, so it's fanfiction! As I've never read the show before, I can't really say which coupling I'd prefer, but with fanfiction, you can basically go crazy with the romance and people will still like it. XD I wish you the best of luck with your writing! :3

The characters are actually from a TV show called Firefly. I've been reading a lot of fics related to the cast, but none seem really in character, so I decided to give it a shot.

You caught them will if I do say so myself. I would say Mal x River just because Mal is way hotter then Jayne lol. Plus Jayne betrayed River and her brother before in the show. It would seem like he is not very trust worthy. In my opinion. I have to say I love it the way it is! I see nothing that really needs to be changed :D

I'm not quite sure as to whom should end up with whom as I'd probably need to get to know the characters a bit more, but I like what you've done so far. They're certainly interesting, and I love the names! Very original. I find that characters have a mind of their own when it comes to the romance aspect of novels. Mine certainly do! XD

There are a lot of unanswered questions here, which is good as it makes the reader want to know more. Reader being me! I would definitely love to see more of this written. Can't wait for the next part. :3
