That stems from a long line of people going back to way back when. Females were not looked at as strong. So, if a guy was feminite, that was weak. But, we've grown as a culture. You;d think we'd be able to move on, too.
And my whole town is homophobic. There are only a handful of us that accept others different from us.
I don't understand how it's alright and acceptable for girls to walk around with short boyish hair and wearing boyish clothes without automatically being labeled a dyke, yet guys wearing make up, skirts, and sporting longer hair are automatically assumed to be gay. My Dad has that sort of mentality and it just doesn't make sense. If a girl can dress/look/act like a guy, a guy should be able to look/dress/act like a girl without any criticism.
I saw a huge discussion about it on Youtube once because someone was referring to a member of a band as "gay" because he wore make up. It was really, incredibly, stupid.
I have never heard that. Interesting. A very weak argument made by someone who is grasping at straws.
I find that it is the people so unfulfilled in their own lives.
I don't mean it like that. My point in saying that is, I've seen a lot of people on the internet randomly talk about how gays are some much ruder than other people and that's their biggest reason for disliking them, when so far I haven't met a single gay person that's been more rude or mean than anyone else.
I don't get why anyone would consider any form of love wrong. It just doesn't make sense.

I don't like the whole, The gays I know are so sweet-blah-blah-blah. I mean, there are plenty of heterosexuals that I could say the same. There are mean gays and there are nice gays. There are mean heterosexuals, and there are nice heterosexuals.
I just find it funny that back in ancient times, it was okay to be gay. Then, somewhere along the way, it wasn't. WTF?
I understand what you mean. Were a friend to come out to me at some point, I wouldn't just ignore it like nothing happened. I would congratulate them for the courage. What I mean is like, one of my new friends in real life, I recently found out that she's a lesbian and she has been for a while. But I'm not going to say anything about it to her because she didn't just come out or anything and I don't want her to feel like I think differently of her now.
I think we're all born with a chance of loving someone of either sex, but we're so driven by the idea that man has to be with a woman and vice versa that we just sorta get pushed into liking the opposite sex.
Hating on someone for being gay is as bad as hating on someone for their skin color. What does it matter? We're all human underneath. We're all the same underneath.
I know some gay people and they have always been the sweetest, most decent people I've ever known. I think part of why that is is because they go through so much criticism all the time that they've learned to be more open-minded and more understanding and kind than others. That's just my take on it.
Yes, I see. There are too many people who act like mindless sheep. It's great that you don't. I guess more people need to learn to think for themselves. Maybe then there would be less hate and bias.
I know. I just wish people could think on their own. I mean, I'm catholic. My family is catholic. Catholics don't usually agree with the homosexual lifestyle. The majority of my home town was homophobic. I was not going to follow blindly with them. I knew it was wrong.
I completely agree with you. It seems like so many people are intolerant to tolerance. It's frustrating.
I know that many religious people have issues with gays, and I'm okay with that. It's what they believe, and I can respect that. Many have gay friends even if they don't agree with their lifestyle. But, once people-religious or not- spread hatred and denounce gays as something other than a civil human being, I begin to feel angry. It's simply not fair.
I don't even get why people have issues with that. Most people are ok when it is a girl and girl but issues if it a guy with guy the most relationship most hated is the guy with guy.... Seriously? Wth.
I don't get it but I always fight for my friends who are gay, bi or lesbos
I see your point, but I will sometimes praise someone for coming out. I mean, think of the courage it takes to come out in today's society in some communities! Kids are being beaten for it!
I just wish there were more people that would stick up for them. To say, hey, Joe is just as much a person as you.
I just wish people would quit hating on people who are simply different from them. We are all people. God wouldn't have created our diverse people if he wanted us to fight like this.
I don't get why people have issues with gays...They're just like us, they're normal people. I don't even act like they're their own type of people like "gay community" or something. I treat them equal, and exactly the same as everyone else. Not things like "good for you for coming out" all the time or anything. I just act like I normally act around people. It's nice when others praise them, or congratulate them, but sometimes I feel like it's still treating differently than they would treat others, if that makes sense.
Love is love, no matter who shares it. People need to see that..
