I'm glad you've come to this conclusion. Now that you've found something negative that you want to make positive again, you just need to work on it a little at a time. If you start texting with an upbeat attitude, then you'll find yourself feeling happier. But that's only if you do things that help you feel happy, and tell yourself you'll be okay if you act like your normal self.
That's true. My advice to you, then, would be to keep doing what you're doing but also to make sure that there are people around you that you can talk to about anything.

It does with me. Usually. Probably isn't healthy. But, I've never been this upset before. Ever. So, I'm still struggling with how best to get over this. And I'll make some wrong turns before I find the right path. And that's okay to me. I'll come out stronger and better on the other side. It's what I believe anyway.
I don't think pretending to be happy is good, but I do like the way you look at this, focusing on things that make you happy rather than negativity. If that helps, then that's great, and I wish you the best of luck and I hope you feel better. But if you're having trouble feeling happy over a long period of time, I just don't think acting like everything is fine will help.

the way I get over bad things is to smile and do things to try to make me happy. Me pretending to be happy in texts is good because then I might start to believe it... or that's how I look at it.
Well, don't pretend to be feeling good when you're not. If you need to talk, then talk, and when you're feeling better you'll sound like the you that you want to be. I'm always willing to listen if you want to PM me.
