No one really invented it. People that don't care enough are ignorant. They see things their way and that's it. I know quite a few people like that.

Honestly, I want to deck the inventor of ignorance in the face. We don't need it in the world. It takes up too much valuable brainpower.

Ignorance is sad... both for the ignorant person and the people that have to put up with their ignorance.

Whenever I find an ignorant person, I promptly correct their ignorance in a polite way.
Example--
Freshman: How many s's are there in "Japanese"?
Me: One.
Freshman: Are you sure?
Me: Yes.
Freshman: But--
Me: No. There is only one. J-A-P-A-N-E-S-E.

I saw one myself, and I kidna do like plays, musicals not that much, but the ones I've seen are very well done.

Seems like the best thing you can do for someone of that age.
Gotta teach 'em while they're young...Hopefully they make a humane choice or system of beliefs.
