Yeah, I guess it is. My boyfriend is in school out-of state, so I just spent Valentine's day getting drunk with my friends and playing cards against humanity, which gradually stopped making any sense as the night progressed.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
Sorry you're not feeling the best. My thoughts on Valentine's Day is that the whole thing is stupid. It just enforces a bunch of expectations on guys, you know? I feel like it cheapens real romance. Like, any guy can make a dinner reservation or buy you roses because you tell him to, or because society expects it. I'd be happier with a gift on another day of the year, because that shows he was actually thinking about me enough that he wanted to give me a happy surprise. Also, it puts a lot of expectation on the guys when romance should work both ways. It's nice to have someone take care of you once in a while, but I feel like that should be give-and-take...and a tacky box of cheap pink heart-shaped sugar can't measure up to the kind of love where you want to randomly do something really good for someone to make them happy. The exception is chocolate. I'll take chocolate any day of the year.
Wow. I wrote you a novel. I'm so sorry about that. It's like three in the morning...but anyway, I wish you luck in your new home, and I hope that things begin to improve, both in general and with Joe.

Sioux Falls is a nice place. I love it here.
I'm moving because I live in the ghetto and want to live in a safe neighborhood and not worry about getting stabbed every time I leave my apartment.
Plus I'm moving in with my friend and it'll be cheaper.
Most of them still hang out with me during weeknights, but I constantly feel like they'd rather be elsewhere.
And with Joe. I'm used to it. I'm not really surprised anymore.
im sorry girl! i hope your move goes well! just be glad they arent married thats when it gets really shitty i know what your going through and i'm sorry it sucks about your holidays and what not

If that's how you want to spend it, that's great. I did that a couple years ago, and I had a lot of fun.

I don't like Valentine's Day for that same reason. I still think it's nice to do things on Vday with your significant other, though.

Sounds like a nice place...Oh, wait, I said that already.
That is probably the absolute best reason to relocate.

Sounds like you've been ripping and rushing.
Sioux Falls, sounds fun. Ugh, cleaning is such a chore.
Wait, why are you moving?
