Today, TrekMovie.com has reported that Michael Kaplan, the costume designer of "Star Trek" (2009) has been nominated by the Costume Designers Guild for the "Fantasy" category that will be part of the 12th annual Costume Designer Guild Awards Event, taking place on February 25th, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton.

Apart from this movie, Kaplan's known as the costume designer of the action film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (2005).
