Today, EmpireOnline.com has reported on the results from this year's Jameson Empire Film Awards event, which took place in London. Of the three categories "Star Trek" (2009) was nominated for ("Best Picture", "Best Director", and "Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film"), it won for "Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film", and Simon Pegg (who played Montgomery "Scotty" Scott for the "Star Trek" film itself) was at the event to to take home the award. At the same event, Zoe Saldana (who played Uhura for the same "Star Trek" film) took home the award for the "Best Actress" category for her role in "Avatar" (2009).
