Today, TrekMovie.com reveals Paramount Pictures' decision to postpone the release date for the 12th "Star Trek" movie, which is still under development. While the movie was originally intended for a June 29, 2012 release, the "Star Trek" supreme court is currently in a situation to choose between two possible release dates (somewhere in X-Mas holiday 2012 and somewhere in summer of 2013) as J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk revealed they had too much to handle at once when dealing with work on "Super 8" and "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" to even have time for the development of the upcoming "Star Trek" film, although Roberto "Bob" Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof indicate that they are nearing the completion of their script work for the film itself. Nevertheless, Paramount wants to start shooting the movie sometime in January of next year.
