5: A long time ago, there was a "real" DailyOtaku thread in the Lounge on OB where people would post news and stuff about what was happening around the board. It sputtered out and died pretty quick for lack of motivation on the reporters' parts, but it was a neat idea. Jump forward maybe a year or so and while in one of the crazy OB AIM chats that used to happen a lot, I suddenly got the idea to parody the old DailyOtaku in the style of a trashy tabloid using a mixture of real events and embellishment. The first article was born from that chat and then I wrote the rest from ideas that popped up at various times.

7: I used to take the internet a lot more seriously. But after moderating for a few years on OB, I realized that very little of the drama had any significant, lasting effects and I gradually stopped caring. I've found it's more fun this way.
