I don't think I ever had an 8-track myself, just relatives who had them. I still have my tapes but I don't have my records anymore. ^^ I suppose I should have kept them but I just never did. My mom still has hers though.
*coughs* I own an 8 track player and the fact you actually made a link in case someone didn't know what they were just made me feel very, very old. lol (btw I still have all my vinyl too. ) I'm so old school. lol

I think my grandparents have 8-tracks sitting in an attic somewhere. I don't recall if they ever used them when I was a kid though since tapes were the thing then.
I had a CD player for most of college but then when it died I picked up an MP3 player. It was certainly nice to get since they're so much smaller and carry so much more.
I'm sure you'll enjoy yours. They're great to have.

I gave my CD player to my mom when I first bought the first Ipod nano generation that came out, and I actually waited a long time to buy that after it came out, cause I did liked my CD player :3. Then other stuff came along. When I look at photos, that's when I go deep into the memory lane ^^..I think about lots of good things that you shared with your family and friends :)

I wonder how I'll feel when I hit that milestone. Got a little over ten years to find out. :V
I remember my first few years at university, I only had a portable CD player, and I'd carry it around in it's own pouch with a folder of CDs, all of that clipped to a strap of my backpack. It was cumbersome and it was pretty much impossible to change discs without having to stop, sit down and fiddle with the whole thing. So when I finally got an mp3 player, I was much happier. :)
I wish I have your mentality when I'm there. And wow, 8 tracks? :o I used to use Walkman tape players and cd players. Didn't go digital till 07'. Congrats on going digital! You'll like it. Way convenient. =]

I remember when I got my first music playing device; a CD player. Boy I loved that thing. I think I still have it.
Glad to see your birthday put you in such good spirits. :3

I know what an 8-track is but I've never seen one. XD I never had a CD player for carrying around. My first one was an MP3 player. ^^
