I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's a very different take on the magical girl anime aspect. Plus it's only 12 episodes so its long enough to be interesting but not so long as to drag things out.

Madoka Magica is pretty cool, yeah. If I may recommend another series you may enjoy, watch Level E. The main character is a tricksy bastard, and he's awesome. Kei will back me up.

And I hear you on the flooding. :/ As I've been telling you, we just got over that recently. Not fun at all.

Yeah, like I just told Missy, north of me saw 70 homes end up with 3 feet of water in their basements due to river overflow. Others are at flood stage so if we get a huge weather warm up spike... the snow will melt too quickly and they'll flood too. Not me personally but if the one close does, I'll likely be affected in other ways. I really hope it doesn't though.

Not me directly but around 70 homes north of here ended up with 3 feet of water in their basements because of overflow from a nearby river. Plus a lot of the rivers are at what's known as flood stage. Very high levels of water with a lot of snow still waiting to be melted in the higher elevations.

EDIT: Although if it's a serious, major flood, then I guess traffic would be the least of your worries...

True. I at least live on a hill so if the river near me flooded it wouldn't get in the house. It would create other havoc though so I hope it doesn't happen. ^^
