Gosh, back pain is a pain in the butt too. My mom suffers from it, and it's no fun at all. Then to make things worse, your friend is struggling with another condition. SHEESH!
When you were about to expound upon your rant, I thought for sure you were going to say that these relatives are the kind who, when they hear someone is ill, immediately are concerned about their "last will and testament." That is, "What's in it for me?" I'm glad I was wrong about that. But that doesn't make your situation any better. *shakes head*
Those people who play the blame game are equally as bad if not worse, especially when they never did anything to help to begin with. I'm sorry you're stuck in the middle of things like that. Consider engaging in some relaxing activities, like "shoot a picture of the relatives" game. *shrugs* Hang in there!
First of all, I'd like to say I'm glad to hear the person who was infected is on the road to recovery. My aunt recovered from Cellulitis a few months ago, so I understand that it can become a serious problem if not treated in a timely manner.
Secondly, I can relate to your frustration. My own relatives act like this at times, putting the blame on each other for who didn't check this or who didn't check that. It's ridiculous when people can't come to terms with the fact that there was no way that the situation could have been avoided without having psychic powers or having been told more information about the issue. I hope these people you're dealing with learn to get past the 'pointing fingers' and learn that they need to pay closer attention to the health of their relative.

I hope the sick person cuts these lovely relatives out of their will if they have that kind of attitude.

I'm glad your friend is doing alright. About the other thing I don't wanna say anything or this comment might get ugly.

People are stupid and annoying. :T I'm just glad, more than anything, that this friend of yours got treatment before it was really too late.

Blegh. Sorry you had to deal with that. It's always unpleasant when people just react, without any regard for other people's situations. :/
