1 Month Later…
“Chouji I change my mind…” “WHAT!? 
Your just gonna turn back now? C’mon Shikamaru… You’ve gotta become a Jounin already.” Shikamaru was just about to enter the Jounin exams. It took place at the same spot where the Chunin exams did. Of course, Shikamaru was reluctant ‘cuz of the work it takes to pass, and the extra work after he does. If he does… “Look Chouji, I really shouldn’t… But… No. I won’t. I’m goin’ back.” “Idiot… Shikamaru don’t. Just get the damn exam over with…” “Uhg… Do I have a choice? C’mon!” “No. Now go.” Shikamaru sighed and trudged to “Ibiki’s room”. Or, the paper exam room.
(What a drag… Why do I have to go through another pain in the ass exam? Extra pay? I’m not even sure if I’ll even find a girl so what do I need THAT for? Besides, having too much money makes you greedy. I just wanna run away and go home… If they want me to be a Jounin so bad, why not just make me a Jounin? Its so stupid to put me through all of this… 
) “All examinees to room 586! Now!” (Darn intercom… Why shout? What’s the point?)
Shikamaru speed walked to the room, just barely making it on time. Chouji had left and gone home. In the room were hundreds of Chunin and, unfortunately for Shikamaru, Ibiki was at the front of the room. “Attention! Yo! LISTEN UP!” The room went silent, all eyes on Ibiki. “Unlike the Chunin exams, there will be only two tests.” “YES!” 
Shikamaru accidentally shouted aloud. He covered his mouth and blushed. “Maybe you won’t take the exams at all!” 
Ibiki yelled at him angrily. “N-no. Sorry, I-… uh… look, I got carried away sir. Please, accept my apology?” Shikamaru begged. “Fine… but stay shut-up for the rest of my lecture.”
(Why me? Please, just make this easy and quick…) “The first test you are taking with Anko again. Remember the Forest of Death? You’re going through that again. But only for a day this time.” Anko did another dramatic entrance into the room. “Alright folks! Move out! To The Evil Forest of Despair and Death!” (Did they lengthen the name or somethin’? Oh God… Here we go again… 
)
Everyone scattered to the forest. “This time the exam will be different. You must try to stay alive and kill as many people as possible before sunset. That’s when the exam ends. But, anyone who has second thoughts about this exam may leave.” At least a quarter of the people leave. Amazingly Shikamaru stays. But, he is shaking like a leaf in the wind, and has that freaked expression in his eyes…
( Crap! Its worse than last time… I wanna lawyer… And a pen and paper. Can I at least write my will first?) “Everyone pick a gate!” (I guess I’ll just get one on the far right… Not that it matters.) “Pudding!” 
Everyone stops to stare at Anko. 
“Uh… I mean go!” Shikamaru rushes high into the trees and stays put.
(Ok, if I can stay here undetected this whole time I’ll live…) All is silent… The atmosphere is too perfect… No one around. Nothing. Just pure nothing. Not even a bug to disturb the silence. (I’ve been waiting here for an hour… Is everyone already dead?) The silence goes on for a few more minutes… “AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!” An agonizing cry of a man echoes everywhere… Ringing in Shikamaru’s ears… He daren’t move. Too nervous the killer is close by. Then he spots him walking toward his hiding place. A kunai dripping with blood…
E v e r y d r i p m a k i n g S h i k a m a r u m o r e n e r v o u s. . .
Then, from out of nowhere, a girl pounded him on the head, bashing in his skull and killing him. The blood oozing from his eyes and gushing from his ears and mouth nearly made Shikamaru puke. “Bastard!” She shouted at the dead body and kicked its head. Then, she started to walk away… Shikamaru wanted to shout for her to wait up, but kept quiet. He followed her to a clearing with a small river and hid behind a bush. The girl started to strip, down to her underwear, and jump in the river.
(Great… She’s showing off… I’m just glad she didn’t skinny dip. Who IS she?!) Suddenly, a sound nin attacked her from the other side of the stream. He was hiding in the bushes too. “AH! LET ME GO YOU FAT BASTARD, LET ME GO!” She shouted kicking him in the nuts like a mad man. “Quit kicking me there you brat!” Shikamaru narrowed his eyes at her… (No way!) He popped out from behind the bush and started charging to her rescue. “Yukari! Hold on!” When close enough he did a handstand and whipped his legs to the side of the sound nin’s head, knocking him to the ground. He let Yukari fall to the ground, still kind of annoyed with her. The sound nin through kunai at Shikamaru, who unsuspectingly fell to the ground. The girl got up. (Now what?! Just my luck… What’s with this darn forest?) The sound nin stood too. “Shikamaru, thank you… I- I thought that you…” She trailed off… She bolted forward and started beating at the sound nin. “SCREW YOU! QUIT CHASING ME AROUND THIS PLACE WILL YA!?” The sound nin grabbed her by the neck, and she stopped, gasping… “Wait! Please, let her go!” “Why, she your girl friend? Hahahha…” “No. But… I…” (I don’t even have a reason why I want her to live…) “Speak up. She might get lucky.” “She’s my sister!” Lied Shikamaru. “Heh… Sure. That’s an obvious lie.” The sound nin started to rape her. “NO, WAIT, PLEASE!” “Too bad. Too little. Too late.” Her bra now off, Shikamaru lost it and punched the guy square in the jaw. The he climbed on top of him and smacked him in the face over and over, in between the punches shouting, “Why are you doing this you ass!?” The guy was finally dead and Shikamaru was still punching, out of breath and tears flowing of his eyes…
(Why…? I can’t stand this! Shikamaru… Poor Shikamaru…) “STOP! Please, stop! Its ok, Shikamaru! He’s dead. P-please… Stop…” Now she was crying. Yukari hugged Shikamaru tight, still begging him to stop. Shikamaru uttered one last hard blow, let out an angry, frustrated scream, and collapsed.
(Ugh… My head… Am I alive? Oh, yeah… I just passed out… Yukari…) “Yukari!” Shikamaru’s eyes shot open and he immediately sat up. “Hm? Oh, thank God! You’re awake. Are you ‘k?” 
“Forget me! Are- are you… Yukari you…” “What? Oh, by the way, thanks for saving me… Best in my village… HAH! Who am I kidding?” She was dressed now. “No. Don’t say that… You… You’re…” “Shhh… Just chill. The exams almost over.” She said quietly. “Let’s just stay alive for the last ten minutes. We’re s’pposed to meet at the tower again. C’mon.” “Yeah…”
They silently made their way to the tower. When there, only ten other people were sitting, chilling. Anko then appeared out of nowhere, as usual… “Good job to you who survived! The next exam is in two weeks. Just like the Chunin exams, you’re gonna fight at the same place. BE PREPARED!”
