Oh, no no, it's not like I hate any of them either - how could I hate anything HP related? Unless we're talking about Umbridge...:P
I know what you mean about the fourth movie - I do not like Michael Gambon's (Dumbledore) acting in that at all -_- He does get better over the other movies though. Also, yes, it's such a shame that they've removed a few characters from the movies! Hokey, Hepzibah, Winky, Peeves, Charlie Weasley...
Haha, I'm always ridiculously happy to learn new stuff about magic! xD And I swear I'm like Hermione whenever I'm doing HP trivia quizzes, lol.
Twitter and Facebook keep the HP fandom alive though! :D (I spend too much time on there)

Urgh, I really don't know what my least favorite book would be... Probably the 5th, because why Sirius? ;___; *still bitter* I get the reason, but can't help going "noooo!" every time I think about it. But there's something that I love in all of them so I don't hate any of them ^^
As far as movies go, though, I haven't finished the fourth and I already hate it. WTF, no showing the Quidditch World Cup after all that buildup?? And Dumbledore acts completely OOC (shouting, grabbing Harry - I laughed when he's sent to the room with the other champions after the sorting and Dumbledore storms in; poor Harry instinctively backs off XD). And there's no Hokey ;___;
Can't beat Moaning Myrtle spying on naked Prefects, lol.
I don't think the first book was slow - quite the opposite! Even now, I wanted to learn as much as possible about magic. After all, we're following Harry and I bet we'd have a million questions if we found out magic was real and so complex and widely spread. If anything, it should've been longer; the pacing in the later books (4 onwards) is more relaxed and there are more details about the daily life (classes, interactions between different Houses etc.). They may not be "crucial", but they add more depth and are fun to read about~
Sometimes? I started wishing that right after I finished reading the books D:
Haha a few years ago I didn't even know what spoilers were, let alone were to find/avoid them :P Besides, I was always the first one in my family to read the new book.
Yes, I see what you mean. The story gets particularly dark from the last part of GoF onwards. I think GoF might be my least favourite book to read... Because of all the angst and hate in it.
It would've been even more amazing if all the books were even longer, lol XD I've heard people say that they find the beginning of PS rather slow, though. (I don't really agree, because I think it's necessary to have some introduction - especially, as you said, because of a whole new world and everything).
Don't you just wish that the story wasn't over yet, sometimes? :3
Before a new book came out, I used to do a ritualistic re-reading of every book that had came out up to that point. Unfortunately, they were getting quite long by the time the 6th and 7th ones came out, so I didn't re-read those XD But yeah, I used to sit down and nothing could disturb me from reading (well, except eating and sleeping, maybe).
It helps that I didn't look for spoilers. I've had a few non-HP-related plot twists spoiled for me afterwards, but spoiling HP would've been absolutely cruel!
IMO, things started to get serious in PoA - well, not considering the fact that Harry is close to losing his life at least twice/book, lol. Peter escapes, Harry finds Sirius and meets Dementors (gets to know a part of Voldie's army and its power). Things got really bad in GoF, though.
I'd love the first book if it wasn't so rushed. There are TONS of details (maybe even more than in each of the other books), but they're just sped through. Of course, you can't see everything, but introducing a new, complex world and having the main character go through a near-death experience right off the bat seems too condensed for ~400 pages XD
Haha, I remember the first time I read Deathly Hallows, I took only 2 days as well XD (I actually read it so fast I missed some key points though lmao) And no matter how many times I read it, the story always gets to me. What's even more amazing though, is that I seem to find something new in it each time!
It's funny how so many people say that PoA is their favourite book :) I think if I had to pick a favourite from the "early" ones, I'd actually go with the first book...
I fully agree with that statement XD They're addictive!
Yes, Tonks and Lupin and Fred dying was a real blow but, they freaking defeated Voldemort and the way Mrs.Weasley defeated Bellatirx. Just plain awesome! *^_^*
Just finished reading the 7th one as well and holy wow, it's just a continuous gut punch XD I'd forgotten some of the twists and at one point I caught myself just reading out of breath. I breezed through the 620 pages in 2 days, haha.
Though I'd say Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite from the "early" ones, it's the only one that's literally falling apart from the many times I've re-read it!
Man, these books are like crack XD
Just finished the 7th book and I was seriously heartbroken (again) D: But yeah, amazing books. Though judging by how worn out mine are, I'd say Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite from the "early", it's falling apart from the many times I've read it XD Deathly Hallows is sooo good, though.
o/ Awesome! I actually just finished re-reading the 7th book and will be watching the movies too. It was kinda strange to read about all the changes to the movies (like subplots not appearing or characters being merged with others).
The books are definitely still as awesome as I remembered them, if not even more <3
*raises hand* I'm a Harry Potter crazy XD. And so is my mom. She just got done watching all the Harry Potter movies.
I love reading the books more than watching the movies but I do like them very much. I also like anything Disney and Doctor Who. :)
Yes the books are still amazing, even as many times as I've read them. *needs to read Harry Potter again*

*high fives back*
I'm re-reading them now in my 'foreign-languages' collection XD That always takes quite a while longer... I think my favourite book is the last one :) I love how everything nicely comes together in it.
Haha, well if I were ashamed of it I wouldn't have told you, would I? Potterhead and proud!
*high fives* I'm doing a re-reading of them for the first time since the last book came out XD Which is your favorite book?
Also, no shame in having a blog/world dedicated to something you're passionate about. Flaunt that shit! o/
