I understand that you didn't have the courage to tell your parents about it, dough. I must confess I never had a 3 in maths or any other subject (if I did, I really don't remember), but I usually would tell my parents about the bad marks. I just can't keep secrets from them, because I end up feeling so guilty! Trust me, this year I failed an exam and I told them right away. A 3 in maths is nothing!
I'm glad your mom didn't get upset and you still have your monitor!
Expensive book indeed, but you could have downloaded it, I'm sure someone has posted a torrent for it!
