I completely agree with you 100%. It's amazing how so many people who comment on art only point out the negative of the drawing and criticize the person for it. I also dislike the people who think they're such amazing artists that they bash others for their art not being as good.
Everyone has different artistic ability and everyone draws differently. Even if there was just a stick figure on the page and nothing else, I would still compliment the artist for drawing it and point out the positives. Drawing is a sense of showing your feelings, so that little stick figure could really mean the world to that person who drew it and if you complain about it, well that could really hurt their feelings and perhaps not even draw anymore. If you want to give someone criticism, fine but make sure it's actually helpful, and also still point out the positives.
Just like my recent card I created, people look way too much on apperance and not the inner beauty of something. Take a look at the picture in a whole, not just its' surface.
I hope no one said anything about your art or anything Truly. If they did, I would kick their butts so hard they wouldn't be able to sit on it for their entire lifetime. You have such beautiful art and I enjoy seeing new art from you all the time. :)
