I completely understand where your coming from. I didn't get photoshop till I was 18 so before then I had my trusty colored pencils so I thought the same thing.
I checked out your gallery and I really like your pictures and coloring, my favorite being Sakura mini. You have a lot of talent and a great coloring style, keep it up. :)

to me i feel like the only way your art can be considerd "good" if it is only done digitaly. i am only 15 and i know my work needs some improvement but i feel sort of let down when i put my whole heart into something i worked on for months and then someone comes along with thier digital thing and its the best thing ever
other than that im in it to have fun and not to show off my skills

Yeah, the feature fandom thing really irritated my for a long time for the same reasons.
I get what your saying too. When it comes to a point a person can produce anything and still get praised. Or have this title/popularity because they draw so and so all that time. *3*
