Just watched the shorts. Those were pretty good. The first one kind of faked me out though the way they started with actual game footage of a Pikachu being captured in Viridian Forest. For a moment I thought it was just going to be nothing but footage of someone playing through the actual game.

I saw the first few shorts. They were pretty good. Although I wish they'd just release a new Pokemon anime (not with Ash in it) but one that kind of continues where Origins kind of left off. Just saying.
