they usually sit there like logs --> if they're swimming a lot - be careful - it means the water is too warm for them or not right and they're stressed out.
otherwise - very easy to feed. worms or tadpoles are eaten quickly. Tablets - they need to find them....and believe me - lazy buggers. I drop them right in front of their face for them to eat pellets. One i trained to leave the pellet on their nose and they eat them from there =)
when u leave for weekends at a time. stick them in a tub in the fridge (not too cold) and they sit there til ur back. The cold slows their metabolism and u dont have to worry bout feeding.....otherwise they are pretty good at starving for a week...and dont worry too much about sticking them in a fridge coz their natural habitat is suppose to go below 0 degrees celcius before they'll spawn.
Not a good idea to put anything other fish in with them coz they'l b eaten or the others would nip their frills

Hey, it looks cool! Axolotls are quite rare only found abundantly at a lake in Mexico.
They are unique because they are almost always in albino form like that pic. I heard they would sometimes undergo metamorphosis into adult form as salamanders in captive.
