You say that but you haven't exactly kept in touch with everybody, have you? I haven't heard from you in forever! You don't even so much as say "hi" at school to me. I've tried, but somehow I always end up getting brushed off by you or Raquel or someone else.
ah, first year of highschool just seems to be stressful but im slowly getting the hang of things.
i didnt have this account before version vibrant but i do kno what it looked like before. all gray and mechanical looking and i remember this one chick that drew on stickynotes posted like 47563186 times a day.
agreeing with commenst below me. hoorah.
btw, glad ur coming back on regularly.
half of me not coming on is because alot of my friends arent on anymore. everyone seems to be on devianart or i can just talk to them on msn and i guess im just pissed at how the same people are featured on the front page every day. but then again thats what someone below me said as well.
I don't think it's slowed down in activity, we just have more and more noobs. Something about switching to Vibrant changed the site, though I can't put my finger on it. Sadly, I don't think we can revive it. I still post to MyO now and again... all my active friends have moved on. And I'm having problems finding new ones because, like I said, I feel like this site is just gathering noobs now. Not cute little newbs, I mean noobs.
edit: mmkay, I read the comments and it reminded me of something. It was a lot easier to meet new people and get more attention when they used to have the newest on the front page instead of the most popular. I hate this because even I have to admit that I only look at the first page with all the best stuff on it.

I've been a lot better lately ^___^ A lot more cheerful again, too, so I'm enjoying coming back here. How about you? I hope you're doing well.
Even though a lot of people aren't commenting anymore, I'm starting to notice that there are a few people who still go around to say at least something on most of the artworks. Hopefully this is just a 'down period' for comments because of the time of year (at least, that's what I'm telling myself ^_^)
Your last paragraph is really inspiring. ^__^ Hi there, remember me? ^^;; I'm afraid that the past year has been insanely busy and nasty, but that's over, I think and I keep struggling to catch up on people's work when I manage to come back. But, I have noticed that people don't seem to be commenting as much as I remembered.
However, we can definitely turn it around! After reading this, I took some time to do what I used to love doing; basically going to the main page for wallpapers and commenting on any and every one that caught my attention. ^.~ So, I want to thank you for reminding me (and hopefully others) that comments are needed, though I've always believed that. Sheesh ^^;; Looking back, that was the only reason I joined in the first place! It was because I was frustrated that there weren't any comments on people's cards that I loved to send. Is that weird that I joined just to tell a few artists that I liked their work and now I never want to permanently leave this website because of sweethearts... like you! ^.~
Yup, so, that was a rambly comment. I'm afraid I've been doing that over the past week. When I find time and energy to comment, I end up just rambling. Sometimes I lose track of what I was typing to begin with... like I just did ... rats
Anyway, I hope you don't mind longish comments. Better than none, right? ^___^ So, let's cheer on everyone working to make sure that no matter what - "The Otaku can still be your home" (That's really a beautiful way to end the post. I believe that it's true too! No matter how many people stop commenting, people will always start again when they miss it!! *hugs*)
Oops, rambling again. ^^; Take care and you are NEVER TOO OLD for TheOtaku ^__^
I have to admit comments are not something easily earned now a days. I remember scrambling to refresh my page every other second just to catch up with updates and messages.
I'll try to help out theO community as long as I have internet, lulz!

So don't just blame everyone else.

Hi dear! Of course I remember you! ((: How have you been?
Anyways. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one who feels the same way and is noticing the same thing. Its disheartening, really...
