The Host Club's Favorite

Chapter 8 - Spring Break Part 2.

“Alright, here you go. These are your room keys, so don’t lose them. This hotel isn’t that big, #2 and #3 are bigger, but I thought that since we didn’t have that many people that we didn’t need a big huge hotel.” Chime said giving everyone their keys to their room and telling them the facts of the hotel. She stared everybody down and then turned around to the counter in the lobby facing a tall man with blonde shaggy hair that looked about in his late 20’s. “Howl, would you explain the rules to everyone?” Chime asked with a smile on her face.

The blonde man nodded and cleared his throat making sure that he doesn’t slur his words. “Everyone has their own room as we all can tell. The rules of the hotel are: No going into other peoples rooms without permission of the other person first. No sleeping in other peoples rooms. No alcohol. No having sex in the hotel,”

Once the man said the last rule, everyone snickered and looked at each other with an omg-I-just-can’t-believe-he-said-that look.

He cleared his throat once more to get everyone’s attentions back and continued with his rules. “For the inside pool: No splashing. No diving. No dunking people. That is basically all the rules. So everyone have a great time!”

Everyone gathered their things and headed to the elevator with everyone talking about different things.

“So, Seramea Which room are you in?” Hikaru asked as he pressed the 2nd floor button in the elevator, having the doors close.

I giggled and leaned my head to the right staring at the button. “You guessed I’m on the 2nd floor. Room 13,” I said as I threw my book bag over my shoulder and around my back.

“What’s with that book bag? You always have it with you.” He asked as he picked up a piece of my book bag and dropped it.

“Oh,” I looked at my bag and then back to Hikaru. “It has my journal and my laptop in it. I write about problems in my journal and then write stories in my laptop.” I said as I flashed him a teeth revealing smile.

His smile lowered a bit into a frown making him look at me for a couple of minutes. She has problems? I wonder what they are. I would love to help her with them.

The elevator stopped when it reached its location and the doors opened revealing a black haired boy with blue eyes standing in our view. “Seramea? Wow, it really is you! You’re more beautiful then when I first met you.”

My jaws tightened at the thought of him just standing giving me that stupid line. Who does he think he is? Trying to butter me up and stuff. I can’t believe him! I grabbed Hikaru’s wrist and dragged him out of the elevator and behind the boy until we reached another hallway and we couldn’t see him anymore. I just stood there breathing deeply with tears running down my cheek and me gasping for air.

Hikaru wiped my cheek and then hugged me and never let me go for what it feels like forever. “Seramea, who was that guy? What did he do to you?”

I sniffled and wiped the tears from my eyes and took a deep breath before I talked to him. “His name is Gail. One year ago I went out with him, and it was the most perfect relationship I’ve ever had. I did everything for him; I didn’t do anything to make him mad. Then one day I went to the park with my dog, O’Malley,”

Hikaru’s face looked hurt as if it was himself that was telling the story. “Then what happened.”

I gasped for air and my eyes started filling up with tears again. “That’s when I saw him. He was with that slut, McKenzie. They were on the bench making out and he didn’t even see me,” The tears in my eyes filed over again making streams down my cheeks once more. “I couldn’t believe it. I had to get out of there, I don’t know where I would go, and I just had to leave. I started running with O’Malley until I hit the nearest house I saw and sat on the porch steps crying my eyes out. Now he is saying that I’m more beautiful than the first time we met.” I was calmed down a tad and I kept wiping the tears from my eyes until I was sure there wasn’t any more to wipe. I started walking out of the hall, seeing if Gail was still there. When I knew he wasn’t I walked out completely and walked further down the hall.

Hikaru followed completely after making sure I was safe. He grabbed my hand and held it tight trying to comfort me and trying to make me smile.

Once I got to my door I shoved my key in the slot and opened the door to reveal a pretty tan room that had a queen sized bed, a flat screen TV, a mini fridge, and 2 chairs. I sat my stuff on my bed and plopped on it as well. I buried my face in the pillow smelling the fresh scent of Bounce fabric softener.

“Well, I’m going to go to my room I’m just down the hall if you need me ok? Room 16.” He said as he stood in the doorway of my room and then walked to his room.

XXXX

I peeked out of the door of my room and saw that the hall was empty. It was Midnight at the hotel, but I needed to see Saamoki. I wanted to know what Gail has said to her if he said anything at all. I was in my night gown and it was see through, but I wasn’t stupid to walk through a hotel with a see-through shirt with boys in here, so I had a spaghetti strap underneath and shorts. I walked down the hall and knocked on Hikaru’s door making sure I didn’t knock so loud that I would wake someone up.

“Come in.” Hikaru’s voice seemed scratchy and irritated.

I hope he isn’t catching anything he sounds horrible! I opened the door to find him playing his game boy on his bed and then looking up at me with his eyes bulging out of his skull.

“S-Seramea, you shouldn’t be walking around like that. You could catch a cold. That and there is a ton of guys here.” He said clearing his throat and throwing his game boy over to the desk right next to his bag. He stood up and walked over to me with his right hand in his pocket. “So, do you want something?”

I nodded and gave him a slight giggle just for a joking matter. “Do you know which room Saamoki is in?” I asked with a grin.

Hikaru sweat dropped and looked at me with his face screaming to me that’s-all-you-wanted? He gave a big sigh and held his forehead like he had a headache. “Uh, yea room 3.”

I jumped up and strolled over to him throwing my arms around him giving him a big hug and giggling in his ear. “Thanks, you’re such a good friend.” I said as I released him and then took off out of the room.

Hikaru just stood there; his face blushed red with his left hand scratching the back of his head. “I am a great friend. It’s nice to know.”

I ran down the hall and through the doors that read ‘Stairs’. I was too worried to get to Saamoki that it would be quicker to take the stairs then to deal with the elevator. I ran down the only flight of stairs going down and once I got there I stopped for a breath; then picking up speed until I found room 3. I took another break collecting my breath, and then knocked on the door to find the tall blonde standing in my site. “Saamoki…need…to…talk to you.” I said as I took breaths between the sentences.

Saamoki’s face was nothing what I expected; she looked shocked to see me. She opened the door all the way and moved with it to let me inside. When I entered I noticed we weren’t alone Naomi was already in there as well, along with Mai. “So what do you need to talk about?” She walked over to her bed plopping on it with her sitting on her left leg and her right leg dangling off the edge of the mattress.

I walked over near Naomi and grabbed a chair right next to her and Mai, crossing my legs in the chair and placing my hands in my lap. “I want to talk to you about Gail.” I said as everyone’s eyes focused on me and never took them off me.

Saamoki let out a sigh of frustration or sadness; I can hardly read her sometimes. “What about that bastard?! No way in hell am I going to allow you to go back out with him!”

“No, No Saamoki not that. I just want to know if he said anything about me during the time you escorted him here.” I asked as I motioned my hands in a no and then kept them there like I was trying to keep her from pouncing on me and beating the crap out of me.

Saamoki let out a sigh of relief and then looked at Mai who was still reading ‘Tokyo Mew Mew’ again. “Can you do anything but read manga?” Saamoki asked as she gave her an irritated look.

I gave Saamoki a fierce look and folded my arms over my chest and started moving my toe back and forth. “Saamoki stop changing the subject. I know he said something to you, so what was it?!” I asked as I started to get impatient.

“Fine,” Saamoki said turning her body in my direction and placed her hands on the bed and leaned her back backwards a little bit to get comfortable. “He said that he was going to try to get back with you because he said he made a mistake with his past. He also said that you were so easy that he could get you back no problem. That’s when I started getting angry but I kept it inside, because you know that I can’t get into a fight because my mom said she will send me to boarding school.” Saamoki said as she started to get a little frustrated at the thought. She sat straight up again, making her hands into fists.

“I’m not goin-“I started to say before Chime opened the door to the room and leaned her head in with a grin.

“Party on the roof guys, let’s go!” She said as she walked over to me and grabbed my wrist pulling me out into the hall and halfway down the hall way to the elevator.

“Wait, Chime, I’m not dressed properly!” I said as I stopped her in front of the elevator and standing in an aggravated pose.

“Duh, that’s why I got you this!” She said as she brought her left hand from behind her back revealing a blue shopping bag with a big JP on the front.

“JC Pennies?” I asked putting my hands on my waist and giving her a dirty look. The doors to the elevator opened and Chime dragged me in, throwing the bag at me.

“Oh, calm down. I know it’s really cheap, but that was the only thing open at this hour of the night. Now change before we get to the roof top!” She said as the doors closed.

My eyebrow rose as high as it could possibly go and I opened the bag pulling out a medium cut blue dress. The sleeves flowed out into a lighter blue and the rim of the dress had the same light blue lace around. My eyebrow was still raised and I looked at Chime again then quickly took my gown off and shirt and pants, picking up the rush of putting the dress on. Once I had it on I put my other clothes in the blue bag and handed it to Chime. I pulled my hair out from under my dress and let it drop on my shoulders. “So what about shoes?” I asked as I looked at my bare feet, picking up my right one and pointing it in her direction.

She pulled her right hand out and there was a pair of blue shoes that matched the same color of my dress and I gasped. “How do you keep pulling things out from behind your back like that?! You never have anything in your hands and then here is a dress and shoes. It’s like your magic.” I said grabbing the shoes and threw them on the ground placing my feet into them and bringing my feet up so I could pull on the heel to make my foot go in the shoe.

After I was done, ten seconds later the doors to the elevator opened showing the roof of the hotel. Right in the center of it was a pool that looked to be six or seven feet deep. Off to the sides where tables with food and drinks on it and lights up above it. On the other side was the sound system that was playing the chorus of ‘Bad Boy’. Out of the corner of my eye I could see something rushing to me quickly. As I turned to see what it was, Hunny-Senpai grabbed my arm and looked up at me with Beatty eyes. Hunny was wearing a tuxedo with no tie and his jacket was unbuttoned, apparently he got cake on his tie.

“Sera-Chan, You’re here! You look really pretty!” Hunny said with a smile letting go of my arm and stepping bag holding Usa-Chan.
“Thank you, Hunny-Senpai. That’s so nice.” I said as I patted his head and started walking towards the table.

Kaoru grabbed a glass of punch from the waiter that went by, because since we’re too young we’re not aloud alcohol. He took a sip of it and put it down on the table next to him. Kaoru looked over to his right to see Saamoki standing right next to him grabbing a pretzel from one of the bowls on the table. “Whoa! God, when did you get here?!”

Saamoki looked at him out of the corner of her eyes and then turned towards him looking straight at him. “I just came up,” Saamoki turned her head more to her right to see me walking near the table. “Oh my, look at Seramea, she’s beautiful!”

“Huh,” Kaoru turned his head to the left looking at me. “Wow.” He said whenever he saw me. His mouth dropped wide, as if he was fixing to take a horse pill and his back straightened up.

“Hey, guys,” I said as I waved towards them with a loving smile. I looked over to my left to see Gail coming my way and I grabbed a hold of Saamoki’s arm.

“Don’t worry, set him straight.” She whispered close to my ear.

Gail walked up to me with a loving smile, with his eyes sparkling like always. “Seramea, wow you look…gorgeous,” He complemented as he rose his right hand a little to show his emotions.

I rolled my eyes; I always get tired of his excuses and never want to hear them. “Thanks.” I said without a care in the world.

“So, Seramea, I was just wondering…would you like to go back out with me,” Gail started.

Out of the corner of my eyes I could see Kaoru’s face getting mad and frustrated, and I thought it was pretty funny myself.

“Now before you say anything, a year ago I know I was stupid for what I did to you,”

Everyone’s eyes were on Gail and me and the only thing that could be heard was the music and Gail’s voice. Everyone’s face looked worried but it didn’t matter to me.

“McKenzie means nothing to me at all, you’re the only one I love and want. You are the reason I wake up in the morning. You are the one that I want to see and hold. So, Seramea Kama, will you please go back out with me?” Gail asked as he grabbed my hands in his and looked in my eyes deeply.

Kaoru started getting angry and almost took a dive for Gail, until Saamoki held him back.

“Let me handle it,” Saamoki said as she patted Kaoru’s chest and walked over to me and nudged me out of the way to where it was Saamoki in my position. “Dear Gail, you know what I thought when you first met Seramea. When you asked her out, I thought ‘Okay, he’s lonely.’ When Seramea found you sitting next to McKenzie on the park bench, I thought ‘Okay, their relatives.’ But when Seramea told me that you were locking lips with McKenzie, I thought ‘Okay he’s a BASTARD!’ So right now the only thing that I need to tell you is that you need to cool off with a refreshing dip in the pool.” Saamoki lifted her hands and pressed them against Gail’s chest, making Gail fly backward and into the pool 2 feet away from him with a big splash.

Seeing what just happened, everyone gasped in shock and crowded around the pool, staring and laughing while Gail hit the surface of the water.

I started laughing and walked over to Saamoki wrapping my arms around her and pulling back quickly after. “That was amazing! I can’t believe you did that!”

Saamoki had a huge grin on her face, laughing along with everyone else. “That felt good. Seramea, don’t get involved with anymore jerks.” She said walking over to Chime and Naomi.

Gail’s face was full of anger as he slapped his hands on the water. He jumped out of the pool and stomped over the roof towards the stairs and turned his head looking at everyone with a furious expression, then walking down the stairs screaming in furry.
