My Sammie had a very unpleasant end too. That's definitely the hardest part about having pets - It's so hard to see them go. Golden retrievers are definitely wonderful dogs!
She reminded me of my first dog. She was a retriever mix. God I hate thinking about her. So sad how she went. ;^;
Yeah, I love the 2D combat animation in Blazing Sword. Has an nice look to it. Gotta finish at least one handheld game before I compare them as well. But bottom line, you just gotta love Fire Emblem period. :]

I LOVE Fire Emblem games! Sacred Stones is my favorite, followed by Blazing Sword. I like Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn too, though I tend to like the handheld ones better for some reason.

:O Fire Emblem?! Awesome! Another Fire Emblem fan! Shadow Dragon is a remake of the first one. I've played the crap out of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Also just started Blazing Sword on an emulator. I gotta get all the ones for the gameboy advance and DS.
