Thanks! I know - I was really surprised too! We'd only gotten a little bit of snow so far this month, so no one was expecting all of this to suddenly drop on us. I'm not sure how we're going to deal with the rest of the winter when it started off like this! XD I really hope it'll be our only big storm of the season.

I'll be interested to hear what they say about this storm. Definitely the worst I've ever seen! It affected such a large area, too.

Yep, the snow's just piled up in big heaps at the edges of the parking lot. Kinda looks like mountains, lol.

Sindar this is crazy!!!! I heard about the snow! I'll have to tell my mom about this too, she was looking into the NY snowstorm. Its crazy that you are there and got snowed in, but I'm so glad you and your husband are safe! This winter really hit hard FAST. I cant believe it got so cold so quickly, then suddenly snowed. I didn't get as much snow of course, but it did snow more then I expected this early in November. But WOW you got way more then I'd expect even in January!! I hope it melts by the time the warm Monday comes around. Stay safe~

I had a similar experience in the Chicagoland area a few years ago. They said that it was the 3rd worst storm in Chicago's recorded history.

That really is a crazy heap of snow! I hope it melts and drains away safely. What did the maintenance crew do with the snow? Stick it in a heap somewhere?
