If you can believe it, I know very little about Japanese mythos. Most of that comes from research. Although, I've been read a book regarding the metropolitan Tokyo districts and how they correlate to the subway lines. It's a bit heavy reading material as it is about the Sarin Gas Attack but really good. If you want to see where I get my facts checked while also read a very chilling but fantastic story, the book is "Underground: The Tokyo Gas Attack and The Japanese Psyche" by Haruki Murakami. I only picked it up because a lot of coincidences happened but that's a whole other story.
Also, that thing mentioning Shibuya's skyline, read "1Q84" for that. It's long and very mature but ultimately satisfying.

Wow... that was really enthralling! I like your writing style a lot, and the tidbits of culture were indulging(since I know nothing of Japanese culture...). Nicely done!!! :3
