WARNING*- There is no noodles related stuff on this post...maybe later, but not today. If you don't like rantings...please don't read this at all :) Thanks!
So I'm in college and a little extra money would be really nice. My sister showed me an art scholarship that her art proffessor told her about and told me to do since I'm eligible. For this scholarships you need to have at least completed or is now completing 3 art classes that the school teaches. Amazingly enough I have taken an art class and an art history class and now is taking another art hist class, so I am qualified :)
The thing that sucks is that it wants:
8 framed works (Could be any medium you want)
At least 30 pages of sketches or more ( they probably want 50!)
1 page of personal statement (Which I can do, though I have no clue what I want to do with my life...)
1 Transcript
But the thing that really sucks is that I have to do all of this in basically 4-5 days!!!!
Problem #1- I have no sketch book. I don't have one because I like to draw on single sheeted paper....So I just bought a brand new skecth book...
Problem#2 - Even though I can use old artworks, I can't find my most awesome-est ones. So I rather sort of start over.....
Problem#3- I don't know where to turn it into, even though it says to bring my stuff to the school's art gallery....but ITS CLoSED.....
Problem #4 - Me- I work too slow, and not enough time...(art takes time, right?)
Well, I'm stressed out, sorry for the long ranting.
But I'll make sure that I'll draw something related to noodles, hopefully the art judges love noodles too :)
Thanks, see you all later
I just recently got a sketch book, but the cover was boring. So I had some time and decorated it. Now it looks cool, with Ninjas

Lo Mein means “tossed noodles”, while Chow Mein means “fried noodles”. Both dishes are made from Chinese egg noodles. The main difference between the two is the way that they are prepared. With Chow Mein, basically the noodles are fried first (could be slightly crispy to really crispy, depending on how you want it). Then the stir-fry (yeah, that also includes veggies) and meat/poultry can be pour over the noodles, and the whole dish may be stir-fried together. While for the Lo Mein, the parboiled (meaning partially cooked) noodles are often added towards the end of the cooking process, so that it can be cook with the other ingredients, soaked in sauce. The main star of a Lo Mein dish is the sauce. I’m guessing overall, Chow Mein has less sauce (or none at all), therefore dry (in a good way), while Lo Mein is soggy (in a good way, as well), due to the amount of sauce. Oh yeah, one more thing, so the noodles that are use to make Chow Mein are thicker than Lo Mein.
Hope this was helpful. I’m off to find some Chow Mein, I hope I will find some
This is a picture of a beef Lo Mein dish, enjoy!
