Good things comes 2 those who wait, The things you lost will always replace something better..
haha :D Thanks ^^ I'm glad that you understand. My best friend recently adopted a rat and so yeah...I've been trying to face my fear with rats. Idk...something about them...being soft and hairy scare me. But I think I'm doing pretty well. So far I petted the rat twice ^^

Lol don't feel bad my friend I'm just as scared of them ever since I got bitten by one...i thought I'm gonna get some sort of virus from the bite..To make it all worse was when my dad said I'm gonna get rabies from the bite..That really made me worry even more...But later realised he's just pulling my leg...
So I know how you feel..Even the ones with wings called bats are scaring the crap out of me..
Good things comes 2 those who wait, The things you lost will always replace something better..
Yeah, college could fry one's brain, very easily....
Oh no worry on the explanation. I was just curious. Now I know what it means, I like it ;)
Ganbatte us!
(I typed the word the first time and my auto corrected to 'fan battle" :)
heh heh In their defense college really does fry your brain. Anything unessential, like a stapler, doesn't get much effort from the brain lol But yeah, I can see myself doing something like that XD
But it's also true that sometimes people don't even try to look themselves. When they're lazy, like me, it just is easier to ask than to go through the effort of looking yourself. Glad you managed to survive though! Just think of all those poor students you helped through college. Doesn't that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside?
Yeah, I have to move to my job. It's exciting but scary too. But I'm sure my fellow workers will be nice.
It's a japanese word that basically means 'do your best'. It's said kinda as a 'you can do it' 'fight for it' sort of thing. A rough translation but it works. Sorry for not explaining before ^^'
I'm so glad that you understand my job ^^.
I DO get the weirdest and MOST stupidest questions. It made me really question if the students are even suppose to be in college. For instance, I was up in the front desk and a student asked me where was the sharpener. I had to control myself and not laugh at the situation because the sharpener was right in front of her, under her nose. Surprisingly, many students do this when asking for staplers and other things.
I know that I'm suppose to be there to assist/help but the students should really take the initiative to look then ask. I mean asking questions is great but this is not okay..well for me. How are you gona survive out in the world just asking these ridiculous questions?
*sighed
sorry for the ranting -_-
I'm just happy I'm done with the job ^^ I mean I LOVED my job but these students... O_O they make me feel insane.
Yeah, you're right, it does depend on what kind of setting we are and how comfortable we are ^^
That's true for me too :)
Oh wow, you're moving? I wish you the best on making new friends ^^ It's always great to know someone ^^
Oh I'd seen you used this phrase :"Ganbatte us" a couple of times. What does it mean? Is it a reference to something?
A library assistant? That's awesome! No wonder you took Children's Lit.
Librarians have a tougher job than some might think. People really are coming up and asking questions all the time. And some of them are pretty strange. I used to sit near the front desk of our library there was a super comfy couch and the conversations I heard could be quite hilarious :D So yeah, I could totally see how that would push you out of your comfort zone.
Hm, you actually might be surprised. It's true I do feel relatively confident when I'm online, but that's because I can take as much time as I need to craft a reply. In real life I don't have that luxury ^^' I guess it's the thought of 'we feel free to speak in the places we feel most comfortable'. Well, I feel comfortable in different places, theO for instance, so I feel more free to speak there. But there are definitely situations that I don't do well speaking. I always get nervous before speeches or parties where I don't know anyone >< I even had trouble with that little 'introduce yourself to the class' that most of my smaller college classes did. I mean, all you had to do was stand and say your name, classification, and where you were from, but I was always really nervous. It was just my name for crying out loud XD So I guess it really just depends what setting you see in.
But it makes me happy that I sound confident on here. I never would have guessed that you struggled with this either. I mean, you're the one who posted on your world 'send me a random pm even if I don't know you'. It's all your fault you know
But we'll keep working on it in our different areas. Now that I'm moving to where I don't know anyone I'll have to work on it a lot -_- Ganbatte us
Oh I used to work at my school's library as a librarian assistant. So it was mostly generic interaction, where I have to explain processes and stuff to the students.
Before my job, when I speak to anyone, a stranger or sometime a friend, my face would turn red and I'd be very nervous. Yeah, I was really shy. Now I am able to voluntarily speak in class. I use to like freak out and panic. My legs used to shake too -_-
But I'm happy with where I'm at with it, but I still need to work on it ^^
What about you? When I read your comments or your posts, you sound very confident and outgoing. I'm guessing that you don't really have that many problems with this kind of thing, right? ^^
heh heh Yeah, I thought that maybe I should put that little side note in once I realized how strange that might look XD
Fears aren't fun to deal with, but they control us unless we face them down >< But it's scary.
Does your job have a lot of public speaking? Or just generic interacting with customers and such?
haha, alright ^^
It's funny. When I typed out the word "shriek" I immediately thought: "Hmmm, if silver was to saw this word, i wonder if she'd say anything about it or about her username?" :D
Yeah I really want to work on my fears with them. I mean I don't "hate" them and I feel bad when I see them dead. But they somehow freak me out -_-
Yeah, you're right. I guess it's a good life habit. I mean I wouldn't cause too much commotion and would stay under the radar. That's nice cuz I don't like to be the center of attention. That's why I don't do too well with presentation or freak out when I have to speak in class. Don't worry, I've been doing so much better with public speaking. Thanks to my speech class and my job, which requires a lot of interaction. I'm thankful for that.
Anyway, thanks for viewing, silver.
I'll see you around!

I think they're cute and don't mind seeing them in general but I don't like them in my house. We had a dead one in a trap once. I could see it's tail hanging out :Q Not the sight you want to see before breakfast.
But you see it's good that you're a silent screamer/freak out. That way people will feel braver around you ^^b It's like being a teacher. Even though you may be freaking out on the inside outwardly you look calm so your class will stay calm too. It's actually a very handy life habit you have there :) better than shrieking for sure ><
Don't take my username into account during this XD
