Yeah. Since I try and watch as much anime as soon as possible to keep up with reviews, I watch a little bit at a time. I'd probably be able to do more if it wasn't marching band season right now. Eh.
For some reason I don't like reading manga online. I like it better when it's in my hands. That's why I try to stick with buying it or checking it out of the library.
And... Tokyopop. D: There were a good company. I am a fan of Rave Master and Drama*Con, but there was so much more that could have been published. *stands by Tokyopop's grave* You shall forever be missed...
lol I always do 2 days of insane anime marathon... Probably not the best way but that's how I have time.
I get most of my mange through the internet and I buy it if its available... unfortunately most of my favs aren't translated into English... or worse were canceled before they were finished! (I'm looking at you Tokyopop!)
Eh, yeah. I watch anime slowly (usually about an episode and a half a day, if I'm lucky), but I do watch it, while making sure I don't ignore the world. Manga is a little harder to get to, so I don't usually read it, but when I do have access to it, I go for it.
Hahaha you are a true fan to search out both in equal numbers!
Sadly I just don't have as much time for anime... Anime I watch and completely ignore the world, which requires me to have world ignoring time. Manga can be read while I listen to music or text people without losing anything or needing to rewind.
I wish I could enjoy both more often!
Me? I prefer... both, I guess. Whichever I can get my grubby hands on. I've seen a lot of anime, but I own a lot of manga, so... *shrug* I really don't care which. As long as it's good.
I've read one volume of the Chrono Crusade manga and was disappointed that the events happened much earlier in the manga than the anime.
As for Feng Shen Ji, it does have a lot cliche supernatural/martial arts stuff going on but the artwork is dynamic and its all in color. To me, it trumps most manga but so does some manhwa (Korean comic). Its a long one though, 60-something chapters in so fun reading! Although I hear there is an OVA for it, I cannot find it.
Sorry it took me so long to reply! ^^;;
Someone will yell at me for this but... I think the Chrono Crusade anime is better than the manga. The manga's still very good but I feel the changes the anime made created a more impactful story.
I also agree, it does depend a lot on which you do first. I'm a read the manga first kind of person soand I tend to like the manga much better about 98% of the time.
Feng Shen Ji? Hmm...
*one quick google search later*
Looks neat! It's got some of my favorite genre going for it! I will certainly give it a read!
(I can't resist an action supernatural series... >.> its my weak point!)
Really depends on the series or which one I'm introduced to first, for example, I love the Chrono Crusade anime, I have all 7 volumes and began watching it first after reading an article on it in NewType magazine therefore I don't even want to read the manga because finding out all that was done incorrectly or rushed in the anime would be a let down.
p.s I recommend you read Feng Shen Ji, its a Chinese comic so its manchua rather than manga, but its definitely worth it.
