I've found cosplay.com to be a reallly useful source when designing and making cosplay. The forums are especially nice because there is so much information there.

Oh, yeah, I've heard about the people who give newbies trouble. I've never actually ran into one...Otherwise I'd have been thrown out of the con! I won't take crap from anyone...Lol. Glad I could help out, though!
cool, I'm no newbie to cosplay (tho I"ve never actually done it myself ><) but this was enlightening and helpful. ^^
(it worries me that people will actually go around and give you trouble for not having a good costume tho T_T - but I guess there's some at every con. ><)

That's my problem! It's expensive. Later, I'll be doing a feature on how to cosplay for a cheaper price and still look good, so keep an eye out.
