Yeah, sarcasm isnt really conveyed well in text. It would have to be over the top and above and beyond for people to tell that you're not serious about anything.

Taking a break for a while might be good, but don't think you aren't welcome just because of a disagreement. Last night was unfortunate, I don't like butting heads with others, especially accidentally just because of the subject being discussed at the time.
I also hope you understand my position. I understand how much you like canoeing, but I have certain physical limitations that are reasons that keep me from doing things rather than excuses. But let's not go over that territory any more, it's time to move on.
Maybe your way of communicating is just not suited for Chat, which is fine. I know plenty of people with senses of humor and way of speaking that don't translate over to the internet well (let alone in real life); it's just one of those things. Besides, if this is referring to the conversation I'm thinking about, you kinda gotta understand that the man's a bit on the sensitive side... Chat or not. It's a shame you had to have your drama-infested moments all in a short time like that, 'cause it's really not that bad. Very silly? Yeah. Drama-filled? Occasionally. Just gotta stick through it and take breaks to prevent burnout. I've had my fair share of conversations that made me out to be a complete asshat, so I know what it feels like to come out on the wrong end of the chat. It's just one of those things one gets over, you know? Lots of times this is the most intense social interaction some of us get; I know it is for me on the weekends. Love the friends I've made at school, but we just can't seem to get together outside of class breaks.
Anyways, we'll miss you. Not like I won't see you in two weeks... but still. -3-
So many times since I first used chat about a year ago, I've just wanted to yell at people on chat, "IT'S THE INTERNET IT'S CHAT DON'T TAKE EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY".
But eh, to each their own I suppose. I have often taken breaks from chat, simply due to being annoyed with it.
Whatever the case, I'm disappointed that I won't see you in there much anymore, but I understand.
I missed the little event since I was off in showerland, and such seemed to be the case. By now, I've adapted pretty well to speaking with only text and no other means of communicating your thoughts, so I've gotten over such mishaps.
It's always best to hold your tongue, if just because it means people won't get butthurt. Of course, there are some people (mods) who can pretty much say whatever and not be threatened because they have the golden title. It's like politics but in a much more juvenile form.

I'd rather see in shades of gray.
