This isn't something entirely new- there are already several spin-offs(alternative settings and NOT direct sequels) And from what I've read about the new series in question, it doesn't continue the plot of the original series, but is more of an entirely new plot.
But I look at Code Geass a bit differently from other mainstream series like Naruto, Bleach, and others like that. Unlike those series, each Code Geass series is usually a decent length with no filler(to my knowledge, anyway). They actually know when to stop, unlike certain series *looks at Bleach*
Also, it's like Shin said- in these times, if it makes money, then it's not surprising they're keeping it going.

CLAMP was hired for the task of designing the characters, but they did give many ideas to the project, including character development. It's in the wiki, so it has to be true. >>

Well, I can't really blame Sunrise for wanting to make as much money as possible off a popular series like Code Geass, especially with the economy in the shitter like it is. But, yeah, I'm not really interested in a third season of the show at all.
Also, I'm pretty sure CLAMP had nothing to do with the series aside from the character designs.
LOL, I totally forgot about Pizza Hut. Those plugs were just hilarious. They slowed them down in the second season and replaced them all with C2's Pizza Hut Puff doll.
Meh, I'm just not gonna get excited about it. I'll never see it the same way again.

Wow you put some serious thought into this since I had left club at five. I follow the same thoughts as you. Its horrible that they have completely sold out *COUGH PIZZA HUT COUGH*
But you know its a good anime, but you know it likes money and we'll watch it.. A toast to the future..
