There can only be one post title...

"Opera is when a guy gets stabbed in the back and, instead of bleeding, he sings."

Hey all.

Quick followup on the last real post...
Still haven't beaten Persona 4, and don't plan to for quite some time. I haven't been playing it diligently, been watching to much D. Gray Man (is there such a limit?) and it seems to be one of those games that you actually WANT to invest a lot of time in, trying to get the most badass personas.

The races a few weeks ago in Peshtigo WI went really well. On the way up, we passed through Kenosha, and I half expected Schultzie to pop out on the street around every corner. There were two races, a C-1 race on Saturday, and C-2 on Sunday. I got fifth in C-1, which was absolutely astounding, if not benchmark in my racing experience. I beaten a whole bunch of people I have never beaten before, including Gareth, my partner, who I hadn't hoped to beat for at least another year. Off the starting sprint, I was able to hold a line with the guys who came in first and second for about 2-3 minutes, which is phenomonal. Both of them are national champions, and one of them, Al, won the AuSable Marathon in Michigan, which is one of the hardest races you can do (120 miles, no stop, overnight, race two of the Triple Crown, all the top paddlers in North America, etc.) So that fealt REALLY good. The next day, with the C-2 race, we did rather terrible. For a change, I was in the stern (back of the boat) and had trouble balancing. We were stern heavy, so to fix it, I scooted all the way forward. It still wasn't balanced, and now I had just lost all my steering power. So both of us wore ourselves out by putting a lot of extra energy into steering, and since it was very shallow water and we were stern heavy, it was like a double disadvantage. We got eighth, we should have gotten fifth or fourth. But that's okay, I still got money to put away to the Youmacon fund, $51.00 USD. Mission: Success!

I got my drivers license finally, and on my first roadtrip, a friend and I picked up an eighties T.V off of craigslist for free. So now I can play PS2 in my room again. Huzzah! It also allowed me to drive to Kat's MST party last night, which was fun and great. We watched Bloodlust, starring Robert Reed, then Zombie Nightmare, starring the ever glorious Adam West.

My debit card finally came in, but paypal is being an absolute douche. So I still haven't paid for youmacon, but I should be able to soon. In theory, before the price raises above 40 bucks. I won't be able to do it within the next week, because I'm going to Michigan for vacation. I'll make a travelouge of the great Camp Michigania (cheesy name, but still a really great camp) where there will be sailing, tennis, and Dai Gurren flag-waving, and plenty of other things. I won't be able to canoe up there, or at least not with my canoes, because my grandma just went to the ER for stiches after falling down and hitting her head, so my aunt, who is the caretaker of my canoes, will be staying with grandma. Painus in the anus. Should still be fun.

And if you haven't watched it already, here's the Rengeroll I made. RedJ watched all ten minutes of it, which makes me believe he is a cyborg.

Off to make a flagpole for Gurren Lagann flag,
-Ryu
