Let me introduce myself. I sign my art as "Kasey-chan", so feel free to call me that. My interest in drawing started when my sister and I went down to the book store and we discovered How-To-Draw-Anime books. It took off from there.
When I'm not scribbling away I am pursuing work in theatrical properties, spending way too much time on Netflix, watching too much TV, and wishing radioactive waste really did give people superpowers.

Yesterday I decided to treat myself, so I bought the entire Avatar: The Last Airbender series AND a Miyazaki collection of 18 movies :D. I am pretty super siked for them to arrive.
Also, I finally got around to watching James Cameron's Avatar. I was a good Sci Fi flick, but I would not pay to see it again. Just not my kind of movie, I guess.
Oh I am also talking to my one friend about comic ideas. Maybe you guys will see something come out in not too long :D.
Lately I've been on this old monster movie kick. It started after I rented Nosferatu from our college library on the recommendation of my sister. That movie is pretty kick-ass, I was not expecting a silent movie to be so very creepy. If you watch it, Twilight will be the biggest disappointment ever, even more than it is now, which is saying something. (PS: Another fun way to ruin Twilight forever is to read Bram Stoker's Dracula. Three chapters into that book and you will never want to read Twilight again.).
So anyway, that lead to me looking up more old horror movies, and even sparked interest in Film Noir flicks. The only one of those I have seen is Maltese Falcon, which is pretty awesome. As for horror, it's mostly Dracula and other vampire films. I tried to get London After Midnight, but quickly found out that it's a lost film. Someday I hope it will be found somewhere. Lon Chaney rocks my socks.
In other life news, I'm working on an acting project called "Gospel of Mark". The title speaks for itself. We basically went through the entire Gospel and selected stories which we tell to the audience. There are a whole bunch of versions used, so it's kind of cool because the language of every story is different. Plus we put in a lot of pantomime and add-libbing, so it makes it a pretty fun play to do. Our last rehearsal is Wednesday, which makes me sad. But we still have our performances :).
Next week is my spring break, so I'll probably be on a lot then

Our neck of the woods got slammed with a snowstorm yesterday and the day before that. Despite the fact that today is a lovely, blue sky kind of day, we still have off. I'm not complaining :). Hey, I have time to draw and photoshop, at least. I want to get a Fai picture in before that Tsubasa contest ends, and am also thinking of doing that rising stars of manga challenge. But we'll see where that goes.
In other news, my room mate and I have started playing Halo 2 just for fun and a little room mate bonding. Last semester we bought an X box and controllers from ebay for around $50. It turned out to be a fluke. However, our good guy friend let us have his because he had a 360 and didn't use his old X box. Hence, our Halo 2 marathons. It's really amazing how time flies when you play that game!
Did I mention that we suck? We sure do that well, at least. Our biggest problem is finding our way around. In the heat of battle, we often get turned around and everything looks so damn similar that we end up going back the same way we came. Yay. So if you were to stand outside our room and listen to our Halo playing, you would probably hear these phrases a lot:
"Were we here already?" "...Yup", "Hey, I see your little green arrow thingy, but not you." "Kaaaaasssseeeeyyyyy I don't know where yoooouu arreee!" "STOP WHINING! Just let me find you!" "STOP SHOOTING ME!", "Hey stop dying and kill this monster thing for me.", "Where are you?" "STOP SHOOTING, DAMMIT!", "Argh! Why do these things NEVER DIE!?!?!?" "STOP PUNCHING ME! Geez! I can't even see!" "Why is it when I turn around this thing is never there!? It just keeps killing me!"
...and so on. I'm glad to say that, we are getting better and better. I just wish we could get unlimited ammo. Anyone know any cheats?

So today I did absolutely nothing worthwhile. Nothing, that is, except for drawing. I drew a lot. Mostly a Tsubasa fan art that I might submit for that one contest. I was into Tsubasa a long time ago, when they just first started coming out in the US. Never managed a fan art of it in all that time, so I figured might as well revisit it now. Its so weird that it's become popular fairly recently... I'm wondering now when Zetsubou will become popular so I can actually buy the seasons on DVD haha.
So as soon as I get back to school and am reunited with my long lost scanner, you'll be seeing that. Along, of course, with all the other stuff I've been working on. :).
In the meantime, I'm introducing my younger brother to the wonderful world of Yu Gi Oh Abridged! This has been a good day :D.

Hello All! I'm back!
What a wonderful past three weeks it has been! I'll see if I can't sum it up in a few paragraphs:
Our first week was definitely the worst. The temperatures were below 20 over there and we froze for most of the week. Luckily, I remembered my long johns, so I was slightly warmer than the rest of my fellow travelers. Ah yes, there were four of us: Bobby, Amber, Sarah, and myself. When we got there a girl from Minnesota, Michelle, joined our group. It was a very good size. Being in a large group would have added so much stress to it. Anyway, back to the cold. It was frickin cold. Our hostile, Barnacles, were kind enough to provide a free small room heater. Everyone who worked there was so nice, if any of you ever find yourselves needing a cheap hostile in Dublin, go there. You get free breakfast :).
Classes started the next day, our teacher was an Australian man named David Scott. It was a great experience to work with him. He liked to tie in improv exercises to rehearsal, which really helped me. My favorite scenes that we did with him were the huge dance scene from Dancing at Lughnasa and the openeing scene of Play by Samuel Beckett. Oh, how I love Samuel Beckett! I gained more appreciation for him over the trip.
Anyway, we had David for about 2 weeks and the last week, worked with an older English gentleman, Mark Lambert. He had so much experience and had a lot of interesting stories to tell. However, I felt rushed with his scenes because we only had four days to choose and rehearse them. It was kind of stressful, but we did it. At the end of it all was our final showcase, which was kind of special, but everyone seemed to like it.
So enough of class, time to discuss the funs tuff! We did a lot of pubbing, and got to see some cool shows. The Seafarer was my favorite. I recommend that one :). Our favorite pub was a place called Gogarty's, which had a great atmosphere. Like every other touristy pub in Temple Bar area, however, it was very expensive. Prices went up as the night went on. Thankfully, there was an American bar and restaurant called Thunderoad right next to Gogarty's, which had cheap drinks.. So we haunted that place quite often. We also went clubbing one night at The Button Factory. That was pretty fun, but I'm not much of a club person, so I had to have a pint in me to really enjoy it haha :). Needless to say, I don't think clubbing will be a hobby of mine over here anytime soon. I will, however, miss my Guinness!
One weekend we went to Galway, where a lot of money was spent shopping. The shops close very early over there. And the pubs reopen at around 10. So all night it's LOUD. Dublin seemed like a library compared to Galway. We still managed to sleep. And I saw RENT for the first time, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
On that Sunday we took a bus tour all around the west coast of Ireland. The highlight was The Cliffs of Moher, which EVERYONE should see before they die! One of the most awe-inspiring sights I've ever seen! Words really can't describe it, you have to be there.
All in all, I hope to be going back to Ireland some day. I just hope they don't have a National Water Shortage this time haha.
Well now I can go around and see what you have all been up too while I was gone.
