Nickname: People tend to call me Arti/Artie/Arty. Either way I don't particularly care how it's spelled

I'm not a complicated person. I love a lot and deeply and sometimes things don't love me back but that's ok. The world doesn't owe you anything but that shouldn't stop you from giving it everything you have.

I love reading and writing and will read anything. I'm pretty open to various genres and ideas and try my hardest to consistently be open minded to the world around me.

Manga:

  • Fruits Basket
    • The Wallflower

For Those Aspiring Students

Happy belated Rosh Hashanah to any of my Jewish friends and pardon the lateness. And as a New Yorker I would briefly like to say that in honor of 9/11 we'll never forget the fallen and never forget their loved ones. Today we are stronger. Today we are closer. Today we stand together.

Now:
My class schedule this semester is not especially difficult. For those of you who just started college, my apologies. I remember my first schedule was a 5 day a week setup with classes as late as 7 on some nights. Not fun at all...though at that time I was taking biology and chemistry simultaneously and their respective labs.

Side note: Lab partners are usually the equivalent of group members. All they do is let you down.

However, this semester the schedule is 3 days a week and classes are over by noon. Yay!....or so I thought. Because I lost credits in my transfer I have to take electives to meet the graduation requirement. I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks electives are a grand waste of time...and money for that matter. Regardless, here I am, foolishly thinking this semester will be easy since I only have 2 major courses that actually need attention. Wrong. It seems I'm doomed to professors that are inept at structuring a class or a learning guideline. It seems for one of my major courses that the instructor thinks the ideal way to learn is to read assigned articles then discuss them in class. I was under the impression that college was supposed to do for my something I couldn't do at home on my own.

Those of you starting college soon, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the majority of the time you will be paying a lot of money to apparently teach yourselves.
That's not to say you won't have any good professors. You'll have some amazing ones that will really inspire you and make you remember why you chose your course of study. Don't give up. Stay positive!

And definitely don't do what I do by asking your parents if you can drop out when you literally only have 2 more classes to take to graduate XD

This will be the first and last time I use Trump in any sort of meme. I in no way condone his bullshit. That is all. Carry on XD
