Yeah, there are lots of people who act so immature despite their age. Which is another point: my friend is a year younger than me, but he's a lot more mature than a lot of guys my age. I hope my parents give me my space when I turn 18 too... Thanks a lot for your support. ^^
Oh don't worry, I'm glad they aren't together anymore XD My mom too lol. And I really hope your parents changed their mind and trust you more. If not i really hope that when you turn 18 you get more freedom, something kinda stupid since age not always tells that you are really an adult -__- I know people who have my age and act like a 10 year old kid.
Yes, I've seen tons of people rant in their worlds, and I feel kind of better after ranting for the first time, so maybe I'll be doing it more than I'd like to. ^^;;
I'm kind of amazed at myself for not being completely rebellious, but I guess I'm just not that kind of person... But thank you, for both reading my rant and replying to it. I'm thankful that there are understanding people like you. ^^
I'm sorry to hear about your parents... But thank you very much, I really appreciate your reading this and your thoughtful words. I completely agree with you--parents should trust their kids more. Like, after 16 years of raising me, you'd expect they would at least have some trust... It's not like I've been a bad kid either. Completely the opposite.
But yes, unfortunately, I guess I will have to tell him and cancel it, since my parents aren't even considering changing their minds... ;n; I guess I'll just have to go see the movie some other day, with more friends.
Yes, I try to refrain from posting rants on the internet, though I don't really know why... >o< But I'm grateful that you took the time to read this and give me reassuring words. I'm truly thankful there are kind people such as yourself here. ^^
Even though I don't think my parents will change their minds (they're often set solid on their decisions), thank you very much for reading and for the kind words; I feel warmer now than earlier this evening when I had the discussion with my parents.

Feel free to talk about it all you want on here. Lord knows tons of people (myself included) use their Worlds to rant. ^^;;
And yeah, I could see why that would be annoying. My parents aren't all that strict, but if they were, I think I would've gone through a major rebellious phase as a teen. So kudos to you for dealing with all of it in a reasonable manner! ^^;
I totally know how you feel. Right now I don't have that problem since I'm *cough* 23 *cough* but I was a teenager too. Mostly this happened with my dad but thank god my parents aren't together anymore. But anyways back to your situation, as my dad was, your parents believe or are that kind of people that think that a "minor" can't be with a male friend alone. I think parents should trust more they're children, what's the point in saying that you should trust your parents when they don't trust you. I think you should be sincere with you friend and tell him the true, sadly many parents are like that and if he's easy-going he will understand.
This is literally the first post I've ever read from you that you've posted on here, in terms of personal rants. I don't think you're being childish, I commend you for being able to resist the temptation to vent on your world every other day about some random thing or other. (like myself) I agree that your predicament is infuriating. I would have certainly been upset if that was the case with me. (as a matter of fact, that is the case with me, but I've never asked because I'm afraid to >.>;)
I think your parents should trust you to be alone with this guy, as its obvious that your, and his, intentions are perfectly innocent. I hope they'll realize this sooner than later, and that you'll be able to see the movie with him rather than canceling. *huggles* Even if there are bigger problems out there, your own problems are most definitely still just as important! I encourage you to PM me if you'd ever like to rant; my inbox is always open. :)
