I'm almost finished high school though, only this year and another year left...! It seems that universities don't get a lot of breaks... but at least you start the year later and end earlier, right? Middle schools get two random free weeks in October? o.o That's hardly fair! I was never called a middle school student though, since it doesn't exist here: it just jumps from junior high (gr. 7-9) right to high school (gr. 10-12).
Writing about something you care about shows through in your writing, too, so that's another good point. ^^
I wish I had that skill! I have to think so much about my writing and have to look up words in a thesaurus to avoid sounding repetitive. XD Citing your own articles seems like an efficient way of making sure it's a reliable source and also saving time to Google stuff. I'll have to remember to reference to your articles when I write about graphic designing. ^^ The professor didn't check? XD I hope I have professors like that. XD
For some reason I forgot you're in high school, I had the feeling you were in uni ^^" At least you get several breaks, we only had the winter holiday, an inter-semmestrial one and a few days off for Easter. The middle school kids are so spoiled, they get two random free weeks in October or something.
I'm not used to getting A+ either but writing about a subject you're very familiar with is extremely satisfying. And if the teacher doesn't like it, you can answer their questions with ease and they'll see it wasn't just a boring assignment to you.
As for the "literary genius" part, I sometimes get bouts of creativity where I literally don't care what I'm writing, as long as it sounds good to me and I like it c: I mean, it takes a lot of shamelessness to cite articles that you yourself wrote as sources (what I did in that A+ project); I think the professor didn't bother to check XD

The high school system for my province starts in September and ends in June, but we get one of the many breaks in January, take our exams and move on to our second semester. I hope you do well on your exams and get good teachers. ^^
Unfortunately the due date was Monday, so I had to write persuasively about how coffee's bad for you. XD But writing about graphic designing should be interesting; I'll definitely have to consider it next time. ^^ (You're a literary genius, getting an A+ on an essay and such. I do so horrible on writing assignments. XD;)
Oh, you're done with exams already? I still have one more week to go *sighs* Here's to hoping our teachers turn out (and stay) great! XD
I made a project (essay + survey and others) about graphic design (specifically walling) last year and got an A+ c: It's definitely a field you're experienced in, you should give it a shot!
