I like Bad Religion. One of my favorite releases of theirs has to be "Stranger Than Fiction". Whenever I need a simple jolt of energy, this is the source.
Yes, punk songs can be short. Most of the songs on that Bad Religion album aren't very long (but there's a ton of lyrics crammed into each song, however). It's good for a quick rush of energy, but not very good when you want sustained musicianship. Still, I love classic punk bands like the Sex Pistols and The Damned.

Nothing saying I still can't enjoy a little punk now and then. ^^
