Exactly, that's one reason I love the power and symphonic metal bands so much. I can think of few American bands that incorporate that classical element, that high degree of composition.

One thing about plenty of European metal bands in how structured and intricate their songs tend to be. They've never really lost contact with that classical element, which takes their styles beyond using simple power chords. They can be very dynamic and intense, in way that doesn't rely on pure volume and bombast (which of course, they also do well).
I really should check out more of their stuff. They're one of those bands that I've always meant to listen to more, but for some reason or other I always forgot about when searching for new stuff. This time, I'll take a note. Those Germans know their metal.

Sweet! I didn’t expect their new CD to be out this soon. I was expecting a few more months at least. My boyfriend is getting me an iTunes card for my birthday, so I know what I’m buying now. ^_^ But then again that kind of puts me on the spot because I was going to buy another Doctor Who soundtrack. Decisions, decisions… D:
I’m going to have that song stuck in my head now. Lol
Oh sweet JESUS!! I love Blind Guardian! i find it funny how Maiden and Blind Guardian both came out with new albums in such short periods of each other. Great metal.

@Pleiades Rising:
Yeah, I need to check out some of their older stuff personally.
Heh, that's why most of my metal is from Europe. They just have a quality that bands over here can't really seem to capture.

Yep, comes out August 24! 8D
Oh yeah, I always hate having to decided between things like that. -3- Personally I'd get the Blind Guardian, but that's just me. X3
I've had it stuck in my head too, that's why I keep listening to it. ^^

Woot, a fellow fan! 8D
Yeah, I only just found out the other day that the new Maiden was already out. I'll have to pick up both albums this week.
