I love my Nook! The best part about E-readers is the ability to have a full library at all times. I've found it really helps for comparative analysis. Good luck with the challenge!
Have you read Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy? Definitely worth checking out.

I don't think there would be any way for me to read 50 in a year. Some books take me months of struggle just to figure out what the heck they're getting at! But in any case, good luck with 75! Pretty good author to start with, I'd say.
