Don't worry, I didn't consider it an indictment on all e-reader users. ^^ But I had already been feeling some pangs of guilt about the idea of giving up actual books. And it really wouldn't make sense to buy e-copies of books I already own. So I will reserve my book case for the creme-de-la-creme, the books I would never give up even if my life depended on it. :P
LOL, yes. People would think you were either insane to read Tolstoy, or be impressed as hell. XP

Just so you know, I never meant for that post to knock anyone who has and enjoys e-readers. It's totally personal preference. And if e-readers encourage more reading, I'm all for that.
But hey, I'm still glad you read books. =D
(When I was reading Anna Karenina, I kind of secretly hoped that people would ask me what I was reading. Something about, "Oh, I'm reading my first Tolstoy" just sounds obnoxiously impressive.)
And I was thinking a bit more about it today. There are just some books/book series that are so damn good, you want to advertise them properly. Rather than just carrying around an anonymous palm computer, you want people to see the actual books, see the artwork and everything.
There are exceptions of course. Some of the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett are relatively thin (just over 200 pages), but Pratchett is one of the best fantasy authors in the world. ^^

Thomas Covenant! Read! Read! X3
Once this really big security guy wanted to look in my bag when I was leaving a store, and he saw Thomas Covenant in there, freaked out and stumbled back. It was too thick for him. XD

@Pleiades Rising:
I remember when I read Wizard's First Rule back in college, I would run into some people who said they'd read it too and it was cool.

It's satisfying when you have a 300 page book in hand, and people always ask what you're reading, haha.

Hehe, I do have to agree though. There's just something nostalgic about reading a book. Nothing can really beat that feeling of paper.
