Sounds like you've been busy! I wish you luck for all the house renovations, they are fun to do but so tiring!
I'm also glad to hear you had fun with your girlfriend and you even exercised a bit!
I've only recently started watching The Big Bang Theory, it's different from what I usually watch and I can't explain but it's a fun show to watch. :)
Oh, I'm really glad to know health wise you are doing good, always worried with that part but it's good to know you are finally getting healthier.
Well Moffat described him as "Different. From. Matt." So I'm guessing he won't be the wacky, silly kind of Doctor Matt could be. Which would be a nice change. I love Matt to pieces, but after some younger, crazier Doctors, it would do well to go in a different direction. Still eccentric, but probably more subtle about it, with more power behind him being older.
He's not the first time a Doctor had previously guest starred in the show. Colin Baker was in a Peter Davison episode before he was later cast as the Sixth Doctor.
I'm rather curious about what the 12th Doctor will be like. From the interview, I think he's an awesome guy. I am wondering what kind of Doctor he'll play.
I'm also laughing at the fact that he was in the fires of Pompeii episode. It's like he met his younger self and played a prank by stealing his TARDIS. Repercussions of messing with your own timeline aside, it was a fixed point in his life, so hahahaha. XD

Yep, all the major parks around the Orlando area are about an hour or so from us. I did that in my youth, but I don't think I could handle it again. ;)
Yes, the heat can be pretty nasty at times, but at least its a humid heat, which while not comfortable I wouldn't trade for the dry heat out in the Southwest, places like where one of my aunts lives in Texas. Its usually harder on me because I've worn nothing but pants for well over 20 years, because I chill easily and inside building is usually cold. But Asya finally got me to buy some shorts and I felt more comfortable when we went to the beach and outside in general. ^^
I tend to do that too. I got into lots of shows that way: Angel, CSI, Law & Order, NCIS. She also wants me to watch Once Upon a Time, so I've got to check that out as well.
I will enjoy them, yes. I need to fill the days til she returns. ^^
I think 'Fires of Pompeii' is the one thing I have seen him in XD
I don't watch much tv these days, it seems I start finding shows a few seasons after they've been out haha. Enjoy your blu-ray :D and I hope you don't have to wait too long until she returns and you can watch them together <3

I'm in Florida. I think that's being as specific as I'd like to be while still being general. =P
We almost thought it wouldn't start, they kept looping the theme music and a message on the screen for the first couple of minutes. I guess it took time to make sure it was broadcasting everywhere at once.
I'm not that familiar with him either, outside his guest spot back in Season 4 in "The Fires of Pompeii" and then later in Torchwood: Children of Earth, but then I remembered he'd been in an old episode of Poirot way back. I do think its good that they've gone older, although I didn't think they'd jump past 50. But Pertwee and Hartnell were both in their 50s when they did it, and Pertwee proved you can be older and still a man of action.
I got the 2nd and 3rd Seasons of BBT on blu-ray. Asya wanted them anyway, so I'm stockpiling them til she comes back. Plus I wanted to see more and there wasn't any on the weekend. I like to watch things when I'm in the mood to watch them. That's why I often have trouble staying focused on shows during their TV seasons. But now I have a DVR too, so that helps. =P

Glad to hear you are alive! :D I hope the house renovations go well for you *nods*
I did indeed watch the Doctor Who live thingee, I remember thinking "just get on with it" XD I think the new choice will be interesting, can't wait to watch him as the Doctor. I'm not that familiar with other shows he has been in but I think it is good to have someone older play the doctor for once.
BBT is fun :D I've watched quite a few episodes, but never in the correct order haha. Maybe one day I'll actually buy a series of them.

Long? Its not long enough! ;)
Fortunately I didn't have to set my alarm, it was on in the afternoon here. I know that weekend Capaldi's name came out of nowhere and surged in the press betting, but as they didn't peg it at all when Matt was cast, I kind of dismissed it. But I do like that they've gone older again, that should finally shut up some people who've whined about 'younger and younger' Doctors. We haven't had someone in their 50s playing the Doctor since Jon Pertwee in the early '70s! When I watched his brief recorded greeting to the fans on You Tube, I saw the sparkle in his eye, and then I knew... he'll be good.
I think I had watched the first couple episode of BBT and didn't think it was funny. My GF told me to basically skip Season 1.
