Most kids don't have to have that father-son talk in public. *winces*
As for addressing him, either way I'm sure the kids in the class would find it strange too. Like if you called him dad, they'd have that whole "you're too familiar with him" attitude, but flipside, calling him "Mr. Wonderful-and-Intriguing-last-name" would make them go "hey, that's your dad. what's wrong with you?" You lose either way. Un-understandable adolescents...
Miss Anonymous: ARE YOU CALLING THE PLIGHT OF PIZZA EVERYWHERE STUPID?!?!? >:O
Dad wasn't always a teacher. He used to work at Harris (tech/egineering firm), but he didn't like it there and they were downsizing, so he quit before they could fire him and went back to school to finish his teaching degree. I was 9 years old when he started teaching.
Heh, the only odd thing about having him as a teacher was wondering whether to call him "Mr. ___" or "Dad" =P Oh, and then there was the week of sex education *sweatdrop*
That must have been interesting growing up. You face teachers all day at school, then turn around and face them at home. I bet you got your homework turned in on time, didn't you?
And having your dad as a teacher? Did he ever let it slip at home that there "might just be a pop quiz tomorrow *cough cough* so maybe studying a little more would be a good idea..." ^^
There was a kid in my sophomore gym class whose mother was the gym teacher. It was...different, to say the least. It didn't exactly help the overall image when he got named "Best Athlete" or whatever it was. What's that word, again? Nepo-something...? -tism, maybe?
Hehe. Reminds me of the farside where they're at the spelling bee, father as the judge, son as the competitor. "N-E-P-O-T-I-Z-M." "Correct!" Puts a smile on my face, every time, what with my keen and unique (for reasons) interest in spelling and all.

Oh and I called today to see if anyone else could give us the results. Nada, my doctor is the only one working out of that office and no one else can legally give us the results.
That sucks, my doctor is also on vacations and I'm waiting for some blood results too. I just don't get it why they can't tells us by phone?
Its stupid, really.

Wow, that's really sucky. Here's hopin' you manage to get the results sooner.
I dunno, sometimes with stuff like blood tests and all, they'll only let the doctor give you the results. :/
Those Bums *waves fist* !
Hospitals always have a way to make every thing inconvenient -_-. It’s almost as if it is intentional to mess with the patient.
Hope they co-operate and they work something out, so that you can get the results.
Ew. I can understand the reasoning for the law, but that is just plain wrong that you have to wait that long. Your doctor should have arranged something so that he/she could tell you before the vacation.

Yes, they're both teachers ^^
My mom teaches 1st grade, my dad teaches 7th/8th grade science. I actually had my dad as my science teacher in 7th grade =P

That's no fun. Afterall, "expectation postponed is making the heart sick."
I've got to ask though...your parents have Spring Break? Are they teachers? *leans in, intrigued*

I hate the Hypa laws too. But I think any medical personnell who can look at your chart can legally give you your results. I hope that helps.

Sorry that you have to wait so long. I hope you can get in to see a doctor assistant or something. Hope you don't have to wait for another 2 weeks....
