I know what you mean about finding a job. College does NOT prepare you for that as well as it should. I know some majors get more guidance in that than others, but I got hardly anything. Thank goodness that dad hired me to replace the wonderful Bonnie, his secretary-extraordinaire, when she decided to retire and recommended me. But even with that cushion, I am still unsure where to go from here. The freelancing niche isn't normal by any means.

Translating ISSSS fun!! I am trying to figure out a freelance niche for myself in that, but not in the usual away, hence the figuring out stage My family is supporting me, too. If only I could get it to work now ... but then again, I still need more practice to get back up to speed from what I lost. So I have the time to plot. Mwaahahahah!

Translating is fun! I've done it before but usually only a chapter at a time. I did the last 5 chapters or so of Immortal Rain myself and that was my first time outside of class.
I will get on it! ^-^ It shall be fun!!!
Kanji is fine but its definitely my weakest area of the language. I've got my grammar pretty much down, except very formal Japanese, and my kana were ingrained to memory back in Japanese 101 when my teacher expected us to know them all at the end of 4 weeks of class. XD

Three and a half for me. I nearly got a minor for Japanese in college. I used to be the best in my class, hands down about using it, but I've fallen behind. I hit a rough patch and lost the will to do much. I'm out of that now, but I'm still fighting to find enough time to devote to Japanese, especially in this heat. Really hot summer here.

Have fun with that, Tsu. I have a light novel series from Japan that was illustrated by one of my favorite mangakas and I can't wait to start reading it and learning more Kanji and Japanese through it.
And your request is very dangerous, Tsu. I have too many ideas and no time. How about this? Do something for SDK? Please?! A wallpaper or a mmv, spread the love for that series.

Everyone around me who's been taking Japanese thought I was crazy for loving the Kanji part> Awesome to find a kindred spirit, though no doubt you know more than me now. I've been out of practice and fallen behind. Working on fixing that now.
