Man, Flint. You truly have a way with words. 1st Edition Machamp? Takes me back man. I remember the cards back in the day. Now the pokemon just got retarded so I'm not a fan. Though if the series is on, hell, I'll watch it. I remember my friend and I were good at Yu-Gi-Oh. Then, out of the blue he says, "Next time you come, bring your Pokemon cards." Where did that come from? So in the end, I gave him every card I had and his brother all my Electric stuff. Made up for that one time he gave me his Yu-Gi-Oh set. Now that I look at it, he got the better deal. Great story, Flint.
I've always meant to ask, are you making these stories up or did these instances come straight out of the book of Flint? 'Cause they're awesome, but I also know you've got a crazy hardcore imagination behind your brain somewhere embedded in the skull bones. Bone. Whatever.
Either way, I'm gonna keep publishing, 'cause they're too damn good.

Man, that was a great story. Very nostalgic. I too remember the Pokemon trading card days, when it was like an uncontrollable frenzy. I was only ever a casual collector, spending what little allowance I had on booster packs each week.
But my brother... he was quite the shyster. Always fooled kids outta their cards, and even gained a rep for that. Although he got cheated once too, when some kid stole his foil Vileplume.
Funny how we still remember these li'l stories, huh?

1st edition Machamp from the base set. I've still got my binder, too.

This is by far the most entertaining thing I've read all month. What a great story. I hope to god you submitted it for publication.
I wouldn't have betrayed your trust and traded a Charizard. I know that's not the point of your story but...Charizard's my fave.
Edit: Saw two minutes later it was, in fact, published, so kudos on that.
