I agree with all of your reviewiness, but I really did enjoy the Death Note movie, despite the dubbing. I think they did absolutely fantastic and I would be totally willing to watch it in English again because I really did love it.
It also helps that I haven't seen much of it in Japanese. heh heh.
I also detest people causing distraction during movies. I can scare myself sometimes with the things I think of doing to them... eeks. I guess there really is a reason I came up as Mello on a Death Note personality test. hehe. ^^

The theatre is looking ultra promising this summer. I can hardly stand it.
I know I'm mostly going to go to matinee showings as well. The crowds of squealing children and fainting fanboys can get to me, ticket prices aside.
