Hyeh, boys will be boys. Mine isn't as much bragging as it is your first statement "Holy crap balls!" To think I have all this music not once, but twice, seeing as it's all saved on both my external drives. I'm a paranoid one, for sure. Sorry, but I don't trust you Buffalo, Seagate.
Gotta say, you won't get much "jiggin'" out of me, though. XP

And earlier today, my brother was bragging about having 4,000 or so songs on his iTunes. "Psssh," I say! Tis nothing in the presence of thine own jiggy aura!
Have you seen Tekkon Kinkreet? Now there's an anime movie with stupendous scoring. Seriously check it out if you haven't seen it. My sister, ShikamaruRocks, did a review of it a while back. It's amazing. The music in it, at least for me, had the effect that the music in Akira had. It created an entirely new layer to the film.

Oh, I totally know what you mean. Listening to just Yoko Kanno music is baffling, as there is such a wide range of what she can compose---and compose well. I have a CD called "Creepy Music" for Halloween and it contains tense BGM moments from .hack and Eureka Seven... two series that also have a tendency to produce light-hearted music.
...frankly, I'm darn near in love with anime orchestral music... or orchestral music entirely
Quite respectable. We do like our anime music, now don't we? Over 1/3 of my tracks are from anime. 1000+ are openings and closings. I'm fascinated with the depth of some of these compositions. Really amazing talent they have over there, and even more amazing imaginations. The music from Mushi-shi, for instance, baffles me. Much of it is quite simple, but it's entrancing nonetheless. Monster's soundtrack is equaling amazing. It rivals feature films.

@TwistedCyberChick:
Tekkon Kinkreet is on my "need to watch sooner, not later" list of anime. I've only heard good things about it, so this makes me excited. ^_^
Be true, be you and of course, be otaku.

My laptop collection's piddly compared to your musical massiveness. I do have about two days straight of anime background music though.

Progressive music does seem to have longer tracks, doesn't it? XP

Heh, you've got a little over twice as much music as I do. I'm currently at 3336 songs, 13.2 days, 21.35 GB. ^^
