And I'd rather have my first association of a voice with a character be in my native tongue, thank you very much Japanese purists. Otherwise, even if the dub is very good, it still will sound weird to me. Fansubs are the exception, though, I agree.

Unless it's a fansub, I always listen to dubs since then I can do stuff on the computer and half watch a show. Unless a dub is really off, I always watch a show in that format.

I watched the two dub episodes on the official website and I thought they were fine. Of course they're not the exact same as the Japanese version, but who should expect it to be? That's why the discs are dual-language.

...and I actually admit I find the Saiyuki dub much better than the sub, because I feel the voice actors are more energetic. >.> <.<

I guess I'll have to listen to the dub for myself, I'm always hearing conflicting reports about it. Some hate it, some love it. But then, isn't that always the case?

In response to the post title, I agree. I listened to the dub, and I'm surprised so many people are hatin' on Vic's job as Tamaki. I thought he did well.
