Woodwinds are so quiet, people can barely hear them. We have to give them a special feature so that people know that there even are any in the band. Besides, they can't even count during their feature.

yeah no. tell her no. My friend who plays the flute is joining marching band (I have triple checked) and so many people have tried to convince her what to play but she will forever be a flute.
(To be honest the flutes even kick brass)

Ehh, woodwinds... I don't mind 'em too much. My best friend Zoe (PinkShadow9, I believe you've met her) plays clarinet, so I can't be too spiteful.

...Of course, she's been thinking about joining the mellophones, too...

Every time my teacher thanks a group for running to set, she will yell "and me!" or "And the flutes!" and the others sections would get angry.
The flute section used to get made fun of alot but ever since I've started Its been awesome but now its just playful kind of scoffing.
Its like that with the woodwinds.
I was once the only woodwind in a sea of brass during a competition when we lined up in twos. I had to step out of line to see the woodwinds. the whole time I was arguing with them about what was better woodwinds or brass.

...We get away with sassing our section leader XD He's probably one of the nicest section leaders in existence. I think he's had to yell at us... once during the whole season.

Of course, it could be that because of yelling for us to go to set after resetting, he'd just stand at set, thus making those who aren't at set feel guilty. It's surprisingly effective.

lol my section leader is a sophomore and she likes to go off saying "fun facts about your section leader" and "I'm both the mother and the father of this section because one minute I'm praising you and the next I'm yelling."
She thinks she is mean for giving us laps but she does it when its the right time.
Plus I had to run a ton when I sassed her multiple times and then I ran one strong lap and she said i was done. I was laughing the whole time

My section didn't have any seniors this season xD Even the section leader is a junior, which is funny because partway through the season he was labeled as our father, even though he's younger than most of us. (I'm the only one who actually calls him "Daddy", though xD)

That and all the seniors were awesome and my name buddy was one and she was always by my dot!
The band banquet was last thursday

Sadly, our season's been over for almost a month. Our end-of-season band party was Tuesday, and I won't be able to see some of the people in my section until summer.

My season hasn't ended yet! I have yet to know (Tomorrow I will know) whether or not I will play at the Raven's stadium for the last game.
my friend plays the flute but was forced into mellophone (I hope I spelled that right) by her dad but know she loves it.
There is one guy who plays the mellophone who i would consider hot but sadly he's taken (that I know of)

I used to play trombone, but last year I discovered a truth during marching band: Trombones (at least where I live) are jerks. So I switched to mellophone over last season where I learned a new truth: Mellophone players are not only nice, but they are also hot.
So, now that the season's over, I've switched over to french horn in concert band. I'm still planning on trying out for jazz band on the trombone next year, though.

Its my main instrument but for jazz and pep band i play the tenor sax.
