I had no idea there was a whole technique behind it! I wish I could have to MAGIC :) pens, but I probably wouldn't be able to find them here :/
I normally just go with the flow and steal my dads pens XD
Oh yeah, when I finish sketching something, I'll trace over the sketch with a pen and erase the sketch's pencil marks. The type of pens I use are called Staedtler inking pens or liner pens... something like that. A lot of people use Sakura brand pens, or something. :o I've never used them before, so I couldn't give you my opinion on them. Idk which is cheaper, either.
And yeah.
:D

The best of both worlds. That saying has been forever ruined by a certain teen popstar XD
But that is definitely an interesting way of designing characters.
Yeah HIPSTERS GAWSCH. LOL we have some at my school. they are funny. And their style is interesting. They always wear those over sized black glasses.
I sketch so light, so if I were to up the contrast the whole thing would disappear OTZ. Do you usually sketch with a pencil and then go over it with a black marker?
Thanks! :) It was a random idea. xD There are a lot of characters with big breasts and wide hips, but I kind of didn't want to make a girl like that... so I split it up. :d THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
Idk seriously.
Oh, is that what the style is called? :DDD Thanks for informing me! I've been having trouble coming up with outfits for Kasey since I didn't know how to search the style on google or anything.
Well you see, I sketch really messy and then turn the brightness of my scanner really high so you don't see my sketchy marks..........
Not really.
Well, not all the time. Ehehehehehehe.......
First off, I just love how the two characters just contrast each other. And you put so much detail in to them! The Hip-Boob ratio is new to me, but that is definitely a unique idea.
Maybe you could make Kasey A HIPSTER Say that with a lisp because I get a pretty hipster vibe just looking at her.
How do you keep your sketch dumps so clean?
Ah, me, too! >X3 They're one of my favourite styles.
I think that's just liike the American style, I guess...XD Barbies are shaped like that, most cartoons with a really pretty female are shaped like that, so I guess it would be okay in manga styles, too!
I really like their designs! I like how you drew Kasey and her dress! Her dress seems a bit retro...*.* BRING BACK THE RETRO, MON! Well..okay, that sentence didn't really make much sense...XD
Oh! But a word of warning. It's really interesting how you decided on the body shapes of Jo and Kasey, but watch out when you draw Jo. Men's bodies shaped like triangles where they have a broad chest and narrow hips...So make sure you don't accidentally give Jo a man's body...O.o; Usually females have small chests and wide hips...that's why it kinda looks weird when you see comic book girl with wide chests and wide hips...'cause the human body doesn't actually look that way...XD
YEAH I CAN BE DEEP SOMETIMES.... but it's not really that deep. If I try to be deep, I forget my point.
Which is why OFAV has no point.
Idk what I'm even getting at right now. xD
Aha, thanks? xD YOUR AMAZEMENT CONFUSES ME... But I'll take it. Haha.
OFAV is secretly filled with superficial stereotypes. But that's also just due to the nature and setting of the comic.
I LOVE THE CONTRAST OF THEIR CHARACTERS. Really, I never noticed how the "ideal female" qualities were split between them, but I think it's really cool now that you said it. :D I remember you telling me about the low-cut shirts and short skirts thing too. Haha. I thought that was an interesting concept also.

Thanks! C: That's what I was thinking. I like retro styles. :D
Oh, thanks for the tip. xD;
Yeah, idk. That's just the body type that people find appealing, I guess. :/ Even though it's not realistic.

Ah. Well. THAT'S DEEP. Maybe that's why I'm so surprised. I always thought OFAV was a rather innocent story.
